Use of "/" and using fractions in titles
Thanks seoman, that was very helpful, I think I'll go with the slash then as it will make a lot more sense to users and hopefully inspire a bit more trust.

80% Spam Score!! Can Any One Help?
Hi there effectdigital Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to my question, much appreciated. I have only ever used the .co.uk. domain. The .com has always just been a parked domain name I own that has always redirected to the .co.uk. I have never hosted any content on the .com so I am mystified as to why these links appear. With regard to your point 2. I have moved my website and by moved I mean, killed the old one and rebuilt a totally new one. No link architecture update or anything like that. There should be no links to the old site, even if there were they would be .co.uk ones. As for spam scores on the old site I never collected that data. I only just joined Moz! I think the only thing I can do is follow your point 10 and redirect them. Thanks again Poppy

Redirecting to HTTPS for web design companies
Hey Anton, Did you do 1 to 1 301 redirects for all pages on your site? What was an inner page that was ranking well before the switch? Another sidenote - in your Google analytics profile, make sure to change the http to https in both the property settings and the view settings. Thanks! John

Really struggling with serps....
Hey Andy! I'm sorry to hear about your struggles. Here are a few ideas to help: 1. Link to this new site from a few of your other hobby sites to give it some credibility 2. Either sign up for https://www.yext.com/ (if you can tie a local address to it) or start building some basic social media profiles to start getting a base of links (Facebook, YouTube, Linkedin, Twitter 3. Research people of influence in the industry on Linkedin or Twitter and see if they'll share helpful articles like this: http://www.magnet-fishing.co.uk/how-to-magnet-fish-guide/ to help build some social mentions 4. Keep adding new content

SEO Benefit to Hosting Site on a Dedicated Server?
It won't have any direct impact. The only thing you may gain is a speed improvement which is an SEO benefit. If you are only getting 20 visitors a day you are going to struggle to fund a dedicated server worth having. You can get cheap ones, but you only get what you pay for. If it was me I would go with some good quality hosting and spend your time and money on optimising. As the website grows you can look to moving to something more beefy.

GMB Website Create Competition That Can Hurt Your Own Site?
I'd say no, build a website & create a separate GMB account that links to your website would be a good start. Outranking competitors is a mid to long-term investment in SEO which factors more than just website architecture & GMB.

Header/Menu Links
Hey! Great question. I would organize your main navigation to be most helpful to the people who are visiting the website and not necessarily Google. If it makes sense to add those links into the nav when you are taking that step, then do it. You can also tell Google about importance of links by your overall inner linking stucture (which can be viewed via Google Search Console). You can also work on doing link building to the most important inner links on your site too. This will help with ranking your page. I hope this helps! John

News articles on our website are being indexed, but not showing up for search queries.
That certainly should help. However it's no guarantee, Google doesn't always follow whats on the page. The problem is you are competing with Nasdaq. But yes that should help. They could also noindex their content for that page however I have a feeling they won't want to do that.

Changing Permalink/ Structure to introduce woo commerce
Hey! I've worked with Woocommerce a bit and share your concerns a bit. We customized the code of woo commerce somewhat to be able to add more copy below the product description and call to action to buy the product to help with SEO. If you have the means to do that, I would recommend it (especially with categories). I would do it gradually to test how the pages perform before shifting everything over.

Should I better noindex 'scripted' files in our portfolio?
Hey Arnout, I would do a few things: 1. You should be able to edit the html code of each presentation to add to the meta title of the page. That should be a solid starting point. I know that is tedious but it will help you cover your bases. It looks like you are doing that already. 2. I would still disallow the directory via robots.txt. 3. #2 should work but as an extra, you could add a rel = no follow link property to the places where you link to that specific section. Here's a link for more details on that: https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/96569?hl=en 4. To speed the process up, I would use the search console and request to remove the directory Hopefully that helps!

Any page with no content
Hey! If you have access to the code, you can add this to the meta data: You can also request to have it removed via the Google Search Console: https://www.sistrix.com/ask-sistrix/google-index-google-bot-crawler/how-can-i-remove-a-url-on-my-website-from-the-google-index/ If you have a CMS like Wordpress, there are free plugins that you can find that will no-index your pages fairly easily. I hope that helps!
