  • Huh. You have a really good head on your shoulders. They are both good options. Unless there is something that makes the .lu/fr imperative to have for the users, I think I prefer option 1. Your logic sounds good there and is customer first. Good luck!

  • Yep - Product category pages are already quite strong. Part of whats behind the question is that I've previously come into contact with a "bigger sites rank better" SEO philosophy. So when I see that we've got over 1m+ pages in Search Console that are excluded on the basis of NoIndex tags it makes me wonder if I'm missing a trick!

  • I agree with Joe. SEO and web development often think differently about website structure. It's gotten better but with Google's emphasis on speed, both teams will need to talk more over the next few years. I would try to be as involved as possible with what they are doing and how they are doing it.

  • Any chance you would be willing to share the URL so I can run some diagnostics? A few things to look at: 1. Insuring that 301 redirects are in place to redirect non www to www and http to https 2. Google Search Console for any 404's that have popped up since the move. You'll want to redirect those too 3. Submitting your XMl sitemap to both Google and Bing via Search Console and Bing Webmaster Tools 4. Making sure that you've updated your prefences in analytics to https in both property settings and view settings

  • Hi Georg! Not a problem! Moz's Spam Score is the percentage of sites with similar features we've found to be penalized or banned by Google (it's not based on the spam score of the sites linking to you). To improve this score I would recommend reading our guide which explains the 27 factors used to make up this score (we don't identify which ones specifically are affecting your site within the UI). You can then look at your site and investigate areas you would like to improve on your site: https://moz.com/help/link-explorer/link-building/spam-score

  • Hi there! It's difficult to answer this question without know how your campaigns are currently set up and the exact domain of the new sites areas. Generally speaking, if you're tracking a domain in a campaign and are not restricting the crawl to a specific subdomain or subfolder, we will crawl all pages accessible on that site as long as we can find links to those pages. If you're having the domain redirect to an entirely new domain, that may cause more complications as the new site could be seen as out of scope. If you want us to take a closer look at the situation and your existing campaigns, please reach out to us at help@moz.com.

  • Hey there! This is a fantastic question. I would continue the process of posting your images to social as it will improve the probability of people finding you either way. I know it's tedious but if you find that you get a presence in image search on your site and in Google with both, I would keep it up. You can create a custom action in photoshop where you just take an image into that and it'll brand it with a few clicks (you may have been doing that already). I commend your diligence on doing both as an A/B experiment. I would love to know if these image searches via pinterest are driving response via your site (sales/leads). Thanks! John

  • Hey there! Looking at your attachment, it seems that those sites are linking to nonexistent subdomains on your site. If you evaluate these links and decide that they are harming your site, you can disavow them using Google's disavow tool. As a general rule, if you see some weird links you probably do not need to be disavowing links. You can read more about disavowing links here: https://moz.com/blog/do-we-still-need-to-disavow-penguin I hope that helps!
