Is a 301 Redirect and a Canonical Tag on Uppercase to Lowercase Pages Correct?
I know I promised you a crawl and I apologize for the delay I've been so busy lately. But here is something without your domain name on it that gives you an idea of what's going on I will private message you the rest of the information. when I give you the report it will be in PDF format in addition to all five link you can click on anything with a green arrow or literally pretty much anything on the report to see more. the amount of redirects you have are to say the least extremely high. don't worry I have not put your domain in anything that is public. Again I'm sorry for the delay, Thomas kzRefEi.png

What to do when you get an oh so sweet but temporary link?
Been right there and here's what we did... We got an alum of the university to put it on their own page - that they'd attended and found the Seminar a great one...and we ensured that the alum pages (we got 3 attendees to say what a great event it was) were all FOLLOW links too! YMMV but that's what we did! And do!

Subdomain not showing up in ranking reports?
Hi Linda, once a campaign is setup the settings for the URL cannot be modified. You will only be able to set how to track a domain during the setup process. A new campaign would have to be created if there is a change to the domain. If you enter a root domain, our tool will track data for any pages at the root domain level including all sub-domains. If you enter a root domain, sub-domain, or sub-folder and check the advanced box to "exclude all sub-domains" this means we will only track pages within the URL as entered. This means if you entered a root-domain and you are now ranking for the www-version of the site, all of your rankings will not be found in the top 50 search results because we are only looking to track the root-domain version. For Patrick the campaign is setup as a catch-all which is good so there will not be any issues pulling data. There is common confusion on how we collect rankings data. When a campaign is setup and keywords are entered. Our tool will search those keywords on Google/Bing/Yahoo, etc and will look for results that match the configured domain. Hope this helps! If your keyword is ranking for a page on your sub-domain or root domain in the top 50 results, then that exact URL will be listed next to the keyword.

How can I tell if a site is trustworthy and is not / hasn't been penalized by Google?
You could do a search using site:domain.com and see what (if any) pages Google has indexed for the site; if there are none, that is a bad sign. You could also put the domain's URL in Open Site Explorer and take a quick look at the types of links the site has. (I myself have the Moz toolbar installed in my browser so when I go to a site I can quickly get an idea of its authority.)

We've imported keywords for a campaign & I've noticed a few typos is it possible to correct the typos? Or do I need to delete them & start over?
Hey there, This is Michael from the Moz Help team! I'm sorry to say that we don't have an edit option for existing keywords, only an add and delete option. You'll want to remove the keyword and add it back in without the typo. The good news is that you caught this sooner rather than later so you're not disrupting historical data with the quick keyword remove and add. It's a bummer there isn't a better workaround, I know...I am no stranger to typlos TYPOS! I hope this helps!

Any alternative techniques to display tabbed content without using Javascript / JSON and be SEO Friendly?
It all depends on the page code. In general I would not be scared about using JS in your page. But it all depends on how you use it. It's a vast topic. Let me try to reduce it to something very small. As far as you serve browsers an html page which includes all the content you want google to index, you are probably safe. When you serve an html page with a portion of that content and you load additional content with AJAX, you are almost sure google won't index it properly. Google notoriously penalize pages which tries to stuff content for google bot manipulating it with JS to hide it from real visitors eyes. That's bad. But in between are endless possibilities and it all comes to what your JS is doing. So it's hard to define a general rule. Said that, today you can find examples of tabbed content in pure CSS: https://www.google.com/webhp?sourceid=chrome-instant&ion=1&espv=2&ie=UTF-8#q=pure%20css%20tabs Like this nice one: http://codepen.io/wallaceerick/pen/ojtal But, also CSS has it's drawbacks, mainly browsers support: http://www.w3schools.com/cssref/css3_browsersupport.asp

Google still listing old domain
Hi I now have a robots.txt for the old site and I created a sitemap by replacing the current domain with the old one and uploaded. Weirdly when I search for the non-www version of the old domain the pages indexed has increased! According to WMT the Crawl postponed because robots.txt was inaccessible however I've checked it returns status 200 and the Robots.txt Tester says it's successful even though it never updates the timestamp.

Is a higher or lower score better in keyword ranking
You should aim to be closer to 1, rather than 50. Why? Because the numbers indicate the ranking or placement of your page on the search results page(s) (SERP). Number 1 indicates a page on top of the search results page (at least for the organic search).
