  • Our engineers are working on improving how custom reports are scheduled but it won't affect when the data is collected as that will depend on the campaign creation date. The best day to create a custom monthly report will be either on the 4th or 5th of the month as all monthly collections for the previous month are available by the 4th. So currently the system will schedule the report based on the day it was created which means if you set one up on the 10th of the month, it will generate on the 10th the next month, but once the data is available by the 4th you can always manually export the report at anytime.

  • OSE and the API are down right now, which is causing problems with the Moz Toolbar. If you keep an eye on our Twitter account, we'll keep you posted there with the status (I'm actually on vacation right now, and will not have good connectivity, so won't be able to update this thread myself).

  • The knowledge graph pulls from a bunch of different areas. google+ can help for sure. But try looking into other things like Wikipedia. It's hard to get an entry there if you don't "deserve it" but its possible. And it can help. Also look into entering your freebase entry. That can help a lot too.  If I can help, let me know.

  • %7E is the ascii code for ~. I'm not certain whats happening, but sometimes when copy and pasting rich text (like from word), the browser will see the ascii code and not the actual ~ character. This makes internal linking a bit awkward and can result in duplicate content, although I'm not sure if search engines would see this example as a problem. I've noticed that you do not have rel="canonical" tags set up, it's worth putting them in just to be on the safe side. I would also have a word with your developers as the urls are very long and messy. Also, try to avoid using upper case and avoid using non-alpha numerical characters (such as ~) except for hyphens. Something like http://www.arkwildlife.co.uk/straight-foods/sunflower-seeds/premium-sunflower-hearts would look a lot better and avoid problems like this occurring in the future. The only problem is that changing the url can temporarily affect search rankings and you must be sure to set up 301 redirects properly.

  • Hey Adam, It's always the little things that get ya! You entered a root domain and the site you queried ranks for the www subdomain. I added the correct query to your rank tracker so you can check it out. Anytime you want to check rankings in Rank Tracker, make sure you double-check the subdomain they utilize to avoid any undue confusion. Cheers! Joel.

  • Hi Min, Thanks so much for providing your honest feedback about your experience with Moz Local. If you created an account more than 8 weeks ago and aren't seeing completion on any of the 7 supported partners, I recommend you create a support ticket to have someone on the team look into it.

  • Thanks for the comments. I got onto Hostgator and spoke to them for 2 hrs.   We disabled all plug ins and then enabled them again. They upgraded it to php 5.4, then back to 5.2...then back to 5.4 They said there was no issue....but after all that it seemed ok (!?). It seems to be ok now. Thanks for the input! Chrissy

  • Sorry, but there is no bulk upload feature in the Rank Tracker. However within a campaign in Moz Analytics you can bulk submit keywords, comma separated. Hope that helps!

  • Hi, Local Search Volume refers to the estimated amount of search traffic for the given term in the country-specific version of Google that you selected (Ex. Google.ca). Global Search Volume refers to the estimated amount of search traffic for the given term in all of Google's country-specific search portals. (Ex. Google.com, Google.ca, and all other country-specific versions of Google). I hope this helps, have a great weekend! Steffany

  • You are welcome! I know the "manual" method often takes the longest, but in reality, it is often the most accurate. Hope this helps!

  • I don't think you came across as defensive at all. I totally get the house-keeping issue. I know the "Bounty" section is something quasi-new...what about the possibility of just moving unanswered questions over there after they've gone unanswered for a set period of time, provided the person who posted responds to admin emails and indicates the question is still unanswered? Perhaps another option would be for the original poster to reverse the "Answered" status? I don't think Moz's intent at marking questions as "answered" was to effectively shut-down a topic, but, unfortunately, I do think that's what happens. I agree with EGOL, I am not looking to see if someone marked my answer as a "good answer" or not, although I am always thankful if they do. What I do do is go back to questions I've answered to see if the person responded with another question or needs clarification on something and I try to help them if I can. Because I know sometimes people who are newer to Q & A often mark a question as "answered" when they read a response they "like" (but not be a complete answer), I'll often encourage them to continue to solicit answers from more people so they can get more input from the community. It would be interesting to see data on how many threads complete stop getting new comments once they are marked as "answered." I bet it's more than 90%...which, from a UGC viewpoint, could mean Moz is losing out on content they would be getting by leaving more threads marked as "unanswered." Hmmm,

  • Hi Vijay, You can learn more about the meta refresh here: http://moz.com/learn/seo/redirection. Generally it's not good for SEO, as in it doesn't really pass link equity. So, if the crawl test says you don't have any, then that's a good thing. Hope this helps! Jen

  • Hi Erin, Thanks for your response. I understand that seomoz will not retroactively generate reports for me and that I need to do this in my own capacity, or at least set up the report myself - what I was asking is can I go back and access old data in order to generate a report? Unless this is not something developed my seomoz yet. Thanks
