Promoting a naitonal mobility store
I would do some keyword research and get into some content marketing. Moz's beginner's guide to SEO has plenty of resources to help get you started.

Re-marketing to my competition's visitors?
Currently, Google does have a "domain targeting" feature in its Gmail Ads campaign type. While this isn't strictly "remarketing", it does accomplish a similar purpose, since people receiving email from a specific domain are very likely to have visited that domain in the past. This targeting option is specifically for Gmail Ads though, I do not think they have (yet) enabled this for other types of display advertising.

Magento, WooCommerce, OpenCart, Shopify, BigCommerce are some popular names in 2015 and 2016. Those shopping carts devide e-commerce platform into many different segments and different demand. Apsense.com, small social media sites and local directories in link building
Hi Bob, If by national, you mean virtual (you don't meet with clients face-to-face) then local business directories would not be a good fit. But, if your national business does meet face-to-face with clients, then it may be eligible for inclusion in local business directories. Without more details, it a bit hard to say.

Increase ad spend when call centre is quiet
If you know what time of which days are typically low, then you can set automated rules within the AdWords interface to boost bids and spend. You'll want to look at time of day reports and analyze trends to make sure your actions line up with substantiated data. Like Nick mentioned, set up custom ad scheduling to help boost spend in slow times. Either way, there will be a level of manual intervention here. I don't think there's any API that could do this for you. It's possible to create a script which could run if you set a trigger... maybe. It might be easy enough to set up custom rules and have someone enable it when calls are lower.

Ad serving networks on wordpress
Hi Cornelius, It really depends on how big your blog/site/whatever is and how many views it's attracting. Usually a good ad serving network to start with is Google Adsense. If you really work with a million plus ad impressions on a monthly basis I would really start considering going for an adserver like OpenX or Google DFP SMB. Then you can serve whatever ads you'd like to. Martijn.

1 to 1 Advertising Using Adwords & LinkedIn Possible?
Hmm if it is B2B, targeted FB advertising like that is tough. It is possible that the decision makers you are interested in targeting use their work number on their FB accounts. You can create a custom audience using phone numbers and target them this way, Your approach could definitely work. I would recommend that you have some sort of content marketing campaign as well. This allows potential customers to familiarize themselves with your brand without feeling like they are being sold to every time they see something from your company. In your first cold email to them you could send some sort of real estate related article/infographic. For example, an infographic titled "10 Awesome Accessories You Need For Your Loft" or something along the lines of that. I see you have a blog on your website. I would definitely use it! If you could put together one high quality piece of content per month, you'd be surprised how much this would help your business in the long run. Hope that helps.

Best Practices to Provide PPC Marrketing Company with Extensive Keyword List?
Hi, If you are hiring a PPC company then finding keyword would be the job of that PPC company. As you have mentioned that you have 10 years GA data so you should share the profitable keyword list to PPC company. **Use BMM keywords to find long tail keywords and SEMrush will also helpful to find competitors low cost & profitable keywords. I am running PPC campaign on both Adwords and Bing and my personal experience is cpc is less on Bing with significant revenue so you must try Bing. In fact I would suggest you to first try on Bing because you have mentioned that your budget is not very high. Hope this helps. Thanks

What url should I enter for Search Console
Hi, You should also setup properties for all versions of your domain. Since you've got an SSL, claim non-www and www for both secure and non-secure: https://villacollective.com https://www.villacollective.com http://villacollective.com http://www.villacollective.com You can set your preferred (https://www) domain in the settings. Having all of these properties established will allow you to identify any problems you might have with indexing of different URL types, or if something weird is going on with any of them other than your preferred.

Duplicate content penalties - MULTI STORES - B2B consumables to 5 industry segments
Thanks very much for the great answer Andy. Really appreciate it. Regarding the sub-domain versus separate domain route, it was a hard decision. We want each of the four websites to feel like definitive specialist businesses, and in that case treat the 'main website' as more of a 'corporate site/main site'. I guess it could be regarded that each website could almost be 'sold off' as a separate business. i understanding your comments about strengthening the brand. All the url have our main name as part of the url, and our logo is on each site, along with a different colour scheme. or did you mean more that Google will give much more punch to the subdomain option? The information in your google webmasters link about canonicals is from 2009, and very informative and relevent.. I guess it is still current? The main website of the group has about 10000 different products on it, and each product/sku has a different url. Would this mean that i would have to create a canonical for up nearly 10000 entries x 4 websites, back to a preferred url? Can I instead do Product Category urls? (i would love the option to send the category "Bandages" to the healthcare site by canonicals, even though it is on 3 of the sites) Is there an efficient way to do the canonical in bulk? or should i just concentrate on the top selling products? What penalties could apply because i don't manage to get them all done in a timely manner? Thanks in Advance!!

Community Discussion - What hypothetical tool could make your life easier?
I just thought of another one last night... I would do terrible things to have some way of knowing whether or not a domain has been penalised in the past. The fact that a domain can essentially be rendered un-rankable if the history is bad enough is worrying. The fact that we can only possibly learn this the hard way is terrifying! No matter how well you manage expectations and communicate with the client, if you get stuck trying to rank a domain in that state you will fail and you will also be the one lumped with 100% of the blame. I suppose this would require some co-operation from Google to make it possible which is likely why it doesn't already exist.

What do you think of Conductor Searchlight as a SEO tool?
Hi Jessica, Use many tools from MOZ, ahrefs, SEMRush, and the list goes on. My favorite is Searchlight. Many reasons, but the platform allows you to go from the eye of the eagle to the eye of an ant across your sites. Too many features to write about but I did write a detailed review here: https://www.trustradius.com/reviews/conductor-searchlight-2015-09-25-08-43-15 The customer service is amazing. They are very helpful and proactive. Not unusual to get a note about a new feature that they not only know I'm interest in but they then help me build out for my business. Hope the expanded review helps! Josepf

Looking for SEO-friendly non-Wordpress CMS for static html site
Have you considered using Medium? I am looking at it for an old site that I want to keep going but can't be bothered with the hassle of WP upkeep. I know you can import page by page but not sure if you could wholesale import an old WP. In the same vein, Tumblr is also an option. For both you could set up or transfer your own domain and play with the styling so it is not obviously a Medium/Tumblr site. Whilst you would lose some flexibility of total control, you'll also kiss goodbye to regular updates and more

Sitemap.xml gives me a 404 error?
I would check to see if you've uploaded the file to the right folder on the server. Some servers have a public_html folder and that's where you'd want to upload it to. If you are able to access other pages on the site but not this page in particular, then it might be a caching issue. Oftentimes ISPs will cache pages and you won't be able to see the latest version. You might try accessing it from another browser, or use something like Rex Swain's HTTP viewer (http://www.rexswain.com/httpview.html) to see if it loads there.

Google business and SEO for a product not necessarily multiple business locations
If it's a national business appealing to a national audience, then I would consider NOT setting up Google My Business listings. I have seen a national business set up their local business listing (Google My Business) and they ended up losing a ton of traffic overnight. Their mobile traffic, which was coming from various cities in the US, was good. When they set up a Google My Business listing, Google started only sending mobile traffic from 500 miles within the business location. If you're a national business, then you shouldn't necessarily set up a local presence.
