RE: How to avoid duplicate content penalty when our content is posted on other sites too ?
Thanks David, Rel=canonical is good option but how we do it when we dont have access to those sites? Though we can only request them to put rel=canonical

yes the ad is posted first on the recruitment site and then to other sites!

Can Google move up my ranking without caching it ?
Is it possible that my site was last cached in Google on 9 Oct (it was ranking 23 that time) and today on 29th oct its ranking position 3 for a kw though still showing cached on 9 oct.
Its not cached since 9 oct, does that mean its not crawled since then? How can Google move up my ranking without caching it ?

How to avoid duplicate content penalty when our content is posted on other sites too ?
For recruitment company sites, their job ads are posted muliple times on thier own sites and even on other sites too. These are the same ads (job description is same) posted on diff. sites.
How do we avoid duplicate content penalty in this case?

Is Google caching date same as crawling/indexing date?
If a site is cached on say 9 oct 2012 doesn't that also mean that Google crawled it on same date ? And indexed it on same date?

RE: Major drop in visitor numbers?
i checked your domain authority which is very less. you might have to do make some quality links to our site again to get back the trust of Google and increase domain authority.

RE: Google keyword tool no data for a KW- what to assume in this case?
yes, my target term is right one and I am using exact match.
Finding similar terms is not an issue, I know few ways to do it. Just curious about -
So I guess if there is - (no data available) means not much people or noone is looking for it
Point is the term I am searching - its not possible no one is searching it !!!

Google keyword tool no data for a KW- what to assume in this case?
There are cases when google keyword tool shows just a dash - means no data available and google suggest just use global volume instead.
But what if we want to know only local search volume? what should we assume in this case? Does that mean local volume is 0 or it can still be respectable volume & its just Google couldn't find data ?

RE: Is it bad to no follow all External LInks at the same time?
Thanks Simon. Yeah I saw that blog.

RE: Is it bad to no follow all External LInks at the same time?
Thanks Marcus. And No they are not doorway pages and they are all proper genuine brand sites. That's why they are not affected by recent EMD update.

RE: Changing Title Tags once Indexed and positioned?
Yes you can change Titles even though they are ranking but it will depend on many things If you will lose your rankings after that or not.
1. If your site is ranking well it might be because of your site's overall authority & in that case your site might not lose rankings. I would suggest make minor change don't change the whole thing.
2. If your site is ranking just because of titles & a bit of links then changing titles may lose rankings for those keywords which are utilised in current titles.

Is it bad to no follow all External LInks at the same time?
I am working on more than 40 EMDs. They are good quality brand sites but they all are interlinked to each other through footer links, side bar links. (and they dont have much of linking root domains)
Now Some of those sites have been renovated with new templates and these new sites has very few external links (links going out to our own sites) but some of these old sites has 100s of external links (all these external links of course link to our own sites).
But anyways, we are planning to no follow all those external links (links that are linking to our own sites) slowly to avoid penalty?
question is, can it be bad to implement no follow to all those links on those sites at the same time? Will Google see it as something fishy? (I don't think so)
Also, Is it good strategy to no follow all of them? (I think it is)
What you guys think ?

RE: Duplicate exact match domains flagged by google - need help reinclusion
EMDs, with all having same template and similar content and having tons of low quality links (with many linked through Keywords) even worse all those EMDs heavily interlinked might be he worst combination you can have!

RE: How To Handle Duplicate Content Regarding A Corp With Multiple Sites and Locations?
Well similar content does get penalty for sure. More than 40 to 50 % similar content similarity is even worse. Robots.txt file can be implemented to not allow Google to index it though Google will still crawl it.
Content has to be changed. Contact us, about us are same in man websites which seems to be ok with Google as it cant be avoided and Google understand that. But having home page and other important pages similar too is not good. Will be good to see what others have to say here.

RE: Dynamic pages on a static html pages websiite
Its good if you want to add blog section because Google likes fresh content.A typical WP type blogs with categories should be ok with each blog on one page and another blog on another page instead of having all on same page.

RE: Is Article Length A Factor For Keyword Stuffing?
Yes I agree that keywords should appear naturally and a good quality content writer never worries about the keywords. Though he/she should be aware of the keywords. Further, its also suggested that article heading should have at least one keyword, making KWs in bold and using KWs mostly in first 2 parah is also suggested.
All the above factors are good as far as they are done naturally and as far as it delivers good value to user.

RE: Does linking to relevant high authority websites effect your MozTrust or Rank?
It's a good question. Linking to external high quality .edu or .gov or other good quality sites does influence ranking in most cases. Its good for user (unless its not too much linked) and also looks genuine to Google as Google see that this person is not just linking to its own sites but also multiple sites in similar context makes it easy for user to checkout those useful;l inks from blog itself.
I actually recently wrote a blog on this and yet to be published. But meanwhile you can do search on Hill-top algo and you will get something useful related to your question

RE: Does linking to relevant high authority websites effect your MozTrust or Rank?
That's true. And something that not people have given thought about it. I am sure there are still many people who would write a blog to get a link to their site and there are no other external links in that blog because they are worried that link juice might be lost to other sites.
But what you said makes sense and I have seen it works
