You have to be patient waiting for Google to re-cache a page and, even after they do, your rankings still might not improve with just onsite changes. You need backlinks too. Also, more internal links from blog posts can help too.

In terms of the type of content to write for the Alsace Bike Tours page, we'd recommend looking at the top ten ranking pages and get ideas from their content. Also, include any information that someone might want to see if they are searching for that phrase.

We looked at https://www.digngo.com/tour/alsace-bike-tour/ and think that you did a great job talking about Strasbourg and Colmar. Since those cities are the beginning and ending of the bike route it makes sense to talk about what someone can do in those cities.

Well if you redirected the whole /avengers folder and not just the page, you wouldn't necessarily need to redirect the /hulk page.

The benefit in redirecting the /avengers/hulk page is if you have links pointing to that page, you want those links to now point to the new version of that page so you continue to get the best value out of any links to that page from relevant content.

Once crawled, changes made on a page may help or hurt your rankings or do nothing. Also, these changes may help your rankings for some keywords and hurt your rankings for other keywords assigned to that page.

On site changes are only one part of ranking a page. Incoming links are the other major part of the equation. If your competitors have more and/or better links than you, your on site changes alone, won't shoot you past them in the SERPs.

Rankings improve overtime as you continue to make on site tweaks, build more internal links to a page, and gain more backlinks to that page as well. It takes time to build links and it also takes time for Google to crawl those links as well.

Although I know it's tempting, sometimes it's best to not check your ranking report each day because it can be frustrating from day to day if you're not seeing movement. It's better to spend time daily on getting links or adding content to your site and then only check your ranking report weekly to keep your focus on the actual work.

Since it is effectively the same content you should be able to rank the same page for both phrases.

You just need to include the new keyword within the existing content and test out a few title tag variations to find one that helps you move up the rankings for the new keyword without dropping your ranking for the old keyword.

The first thing I'd test would be to change your title tag from "Can I put a solid roof on my conservatory?" to "Replacing Conservatory Roof with Solid Roof - Can I put a solid roof on my conservatory?". Wait until Google re-crawls the page and check how your rankings fared. If you lose your snippet or drop in rankings for the low volume phrase you can always test out the reverse, "Can I put a solid roof on my conservatory? Replacing Conservatory Roof with Solid Roof", and see what happens then.

Don't be scared to test many variations, even long title tags that seemingly don't follow best practice. You can always change it back to the original and your rankings will go back to what they were before you tested (assuming your competitors didn't gain some awesome back links to overtake you).

Don't mess with the section of content that is being pulled into the featured snippet though so as not to lose that snippet.

Without having more information about your website, I'm going to venture to say that what you are missing is a combination of patience, link building and content promotion and has nothing to do with your keyword research process, which sounds good by the way.

Patience:
Assuming you are putting in the hard work to create great content and build links from relevant content around the web, you have to give it time. Rankings don't happen over night.

Link Building:
If you have great content on your site--great! Now spend a lot of time getting links from other websites. Links bring in authority and other signals to the search engines that your site deserves to rank.

Content Promotion:
"If you build it, he will come" doesn't work as well for websites as it did for Kevin Costner in Field of Dreams. You have to promote the heck out of your content. It has to be interesting so people will share it. You need to reach out to people and get them to share or write about your content.

It's all hard work and it takes time but those who are determined will get the rankings they are working for.

Getting indexed just means that Google has your page in their index. They can then show it in the SERPs wherever their algorithm wants to, whether it be in the top 10 results or ranked at #283.

As you continue building relevant links to your site and adding more content and following all best practices for onsite optimization your page will rise in the rankings. Depending  on the difficulty of the phrases your are trying to rank for, it could take several weeks to several months or years to get to page 1.

Keep in mind that after you make a change on your page, you have to wait until Google re-crawls that page for the updated version of that page to be in their index and, therefore, see a potential change in rankings.

Changing your date/time format will not affect your SEO in any way.

The url you listed seems to have the correct canonical URL. What is Google saying specifically about the canonical for that page?

It shows the canonical tag as https://kilid.com/rent/tehran-tehranpars.

Meta descriptions do not affect your rankings whatsoever. Well...at least not directly. Some argue that higher click through rates can increase your rankings.

Whether that is true or not, you want to write meta descriptions that do entice people to click on your listing so that you get more traffic from the SERPs and a lot of times  including a call to action can increase your click through rate.

My suggestion is to test different meta descriptions on pages that have good rankings until you find the one that has the highest click through rate. You can monitor a specific page's click through rate in Google Search Console.

Keep track of when Google re-crawls your page so you know what dates to analyze when trying to figure out the CTR of each meta description test. Keep in mind that title tag changes will affect your CTR as well so only change one or the other at a time to get an accurate reading.

I'm sorry if my answer wasn't clear on that point but yes it's almost always better for rankings to have more internal links pointing to pages and if it's better for users too, then it's the best move all around.

If it makes sense to a site visitor that you would be linking these articles together, then the answer for sure is yes.

Adding internal links from each of these pages to each other will help pass the PageRank around your site. Furthermore, if you use keywords in the anchor text, you could help the linked-to pages to be more relevant for those keywords.

I would suggest testing using a few variations of each keyword as the anchor text. For example, use the exact phrase as the anchor text from page B, C, D, E and F linking to page A and monitor your ranking for that phrase after all the changes on all the pages have been indexed by Google. Then change the anchor text on pages D, E and F to some variation of the main keyword. Once all those changes have been indexed by Google see if your ranking for the main phrase is better or worse off and also check to see if you rank better for the variations that you used on pages D, E, and F.

In terms of converting traffic into buyers, it is most likely not a problem that visitors can't click on those 5 main category pages from the homepage.

In terms of ranking those 5 pages, it would be better to link to those 5 category pages within the navigation so they receive a link from every page of your site instead of just from pages within the subcategories that are under each main category.  These 5 pages are potentially missing out on thousands of internal links (depending on how big your site is) because of how it is setup now. Also, each of these pages are missing out on a link from the homepage which is your page with the highest authority.

To give these pages the best chance possible to rank for their targeted keywords, you should make this change asap.

That is not true at all, Klaver, just as Kenn Gold just proved in his answer above.

I just searched for "seo tips" and found that both Neil Patel and Backlinko have videos in the video carousel and have a page ranking in the top ten as well. Neil Patel also has the featured snippet at the top of the page as well.

First of all, if it's pulling a snippet of the blog post, then I'm not sure how you would not make the content identical.

Secondly, I feel like the blog posts on the subdomain would have a better chance at ranking for specific keywords than a snippet of the blog post on the main domain because the URL with the whole blog post would have more content and has the better chance of attracting links including internal links as well.

Also, I don't understand why it would be more important to get the organic traffic to blog content to the main domain instead of the subdomain where the blog is hosted. Both the domain and subdomain are assets owned by the same company so all traffic to both destinations should be valuable. If you setup your blog properly, you can still include all the navigation links to all the main pages of the domain and add internal links within the blog content linking over to the main pages on the domain.

In conclusion, I wouldn't worry about adding the snippets to the main domain and just integrate the two as much as possible by creating the same sitewide navigation and linking within the content as much as possible.

Ah gotcha.

Well, rankings can fluctuate a lot when you're first starting out especially in the 50-100 range. I like to call it the yo-yo effect--bouncing from 90 to 40 to 74 to 38 to 100+ to 67 to 84 to 100+ to 58 etc.

As your site gains more authority and you optimize better for your keywords, you'll find that your rankings won't move around as much and also move up into better positions as well.

My immediate recommendations would be to add a few internal links within the content of your site linking your main phrases back to your homepage (or whatever page you are trying to rank for "Alabama land for sale" and "Georgia land for sale"). You can go to already existing blog posts and add one of those phrases to a post where it makes sense to a human and link it to your homepage.

Next, if it is your homepage that you are trying to rank for those phrases, then test out adding each of those phrases within the content at least once each to see if that helps that page rank better in the SERPs.

Finally, you need to build more links from other websites to your site in general to get more authority. Search Moz's blog for how to build links. They have a lot of great info on that subject.

I currently see 113 pages indexed in Google by doing a "site:natvest.com" search so it appears that your site is indexed.

What exactly do you mean when you say "every time you re-index your site" because it appears to be in Google's index? Are you meaning to say that you show up high in rankings for your keywords for a day and then your rankings drop again?

Assuming Google translate is mostly correct, it looks like you've really over optimized this page with keyword phrases. I'm all for including keywords a couple to a few times within your content but it needs to be written for a human with search engines in mind not the other way around.

I found that you have the exact phrase, "Furniture moving companies in Jordan" 15 times within the content on this page and the phrase, "in Jordan", 60 times because you include it after every mention of "furniture transport companies", "furniture transfer companies" and a few other variations. This seems like overkill.

After cleaning up your content, I'd suggest getting more links to your site from relevant content as every site that wants to rank needs to do this.

The value passed from one page to another is divided by the number of links that are linking out of that page. So all links in the navigation and drop down navigation will count.

If you no longer carry that specific product, you can redirect the dead URL to a collection related to that product on your website. If there is no related collection, then redirect it to your homepage.
