Hi,
Is there some place or list with all the known SEO factors till date?
Regards
It depends. You can't compare two totally different sites and analyze the results. e.g. You can't expect the traffic to some social media site and small business ERP solution provider's site to attract equal amount of traffic, even the gap will be too wide. I believe traffic will vary from industry to industry and using only SEO can never suffice the marketing needs. At some stage you will have to look at other options as well.
Having said that, it does not mean that using Google Ads or paid ads or social media will undermine the importance of SEO. Every aspect of Internet marketing is vital when it comes to making the site popular. The only thing is, one should know when to indulge in what.
If SEO is not reaping the desired benefits then you should first revisit the keywords you are targeting and the analytics data. It will give you wealth of information.
Gone are the days when new site (even few months old) used to achieve high ranks. I suggest to use Google Ads, banner ads and other form of paid marketing if you want such quick results
Internal linking is always a preferred step in link building but doing anything heavily do more harm. Make sure to get internal backlinks from meaningful pages. Unnecessarily doing it just for the sake of doing is will do no good.
Yes, the listing may lose the ranking if those 100 backlinks are from worthy sites.
I received this in my Private Messages section:
My name is Fatima,i saw your profile at/www.seomoz.org/today and became intrested in you,i will also like to know you the more, and i want you to send an email to my email address so i can give you my picture for you to know whom i am.Here is my email address (fatimababy06@yahoo.com) I believe we can move from here I am waiting for your mail to my email address above.Fatima(Remeber the distance or colour does not matter but love matters alot in life)
How can somebody spam like this on protected forum?
Yeah, i too would like to know about it. Can you provide more details - query, Google (which country) and the sites in question?
The answer to your question is in your question itself. Your site is new and new sites don't rank so fast in Google. As far as site's earlier ranking in UK is concerned, i have always seen it to be temporary and vanishes soon. I believe you will witness the same condition in US rankings shortly.
Firstly, this page has a PR 2 which clearly explains that this page has backlinks. It only depends upon the tool you are using to view it. Secondly, if you go to the home page and then search "long dresses", you will get the same page which means that this page exists and is in the index of the search engine
I believe the site architecture you have in mind will do. This is also known as silo structure or more precisely as "physical silo structure"
URL? But it would be a good thing if you place a nofollow tag on the affiliate's link or put the affiliate links in an iframe and make the border zero.
I have used PR Web. This site has a good reputation when it comes to distributing local news in a single region. But more or less, both are same and difference in pricing could be a deciding factor
Please provide the URL. As far as no title and description is concerned, check this out http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/Webmasters/thread?tid=2b626fae15f7a1cb&hl=en
Go through all the tools, knowledge database, blogs (Youmoz as well). Q&A forum is relatively new but see the amount of information and the level of participation! Nobody but these things will convince you
If not, ask Rand to take you out for dinner
Can you please elaborate your question? What do mean by destination page?
The question has already been very well answered. Having a comprehensive knowledge base on the same domain in separate folder can yield maximum and best SEO benefits.
I believe the user behavior is same for tablet device and desktops as far as search engine results are concerned. But they vary greatly for website usage. The aim of the user is to get the relevant result and move to the website. The objective of the search engine too is similar - to provide best results and minimize user's time spent on searching
I agree with Dejan SEO's reply (his way of getting backlinks ) but i don't think that your strategy may invoke penalty of some sort. You are not buying or colluding with webmaster for it.
I agree Dejan. You are right!
