Sub-domain and Sub-directory - Is there no difference
Hi,
Last year Google announced that it will treat links from a sub-domain as internal links and not external - http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.in/2011/08/reorganizing-internal-vs-external.html. Does it means that now there is no difference between a sub-domain and a sub-directory and anyone of them can be used?

RE: What's the best practise for adding a blog to your site post panda? subdomain or subdirectory???
I suggest to use sub-directory for your blog. But make sure to write original content. Further, it should be for the users and not the search engines.

RE: Do in page links pointing to the parent page make the page more relevant for that term?
Hmmm..probably i misunderstood your "parent" question. No value will be passed if link points to the current page.

RE: Do in page links pointing to the parent page make the page more relevant for that term?
Definitely. Each link is counted as a vote and internal links help in making the page look more relevant but the link should not be out of context.

RE: Google's New Release "What do you love"
The results on this page still goes to the actual domain but the page says "more coming soon". Do you think it's gonna replace google.com and if not, will it change users' preference of using google.com? I mean more and more people may start using wdyl.com...it's making me nervous

How new Instant Pages Affect Analytics?
I am sure everyone around here is aware of Instant Pages that Google introduced at Inside Search Event. How does it affect Analytics?
Since the page is pre-loading, does that get recorded as a visitor? If the user doesn’t click on the link, will that impact the bounce rate?

Is it Google's new interface for search result?
Hi,
While searching on Google, i came across a new search result page without underlines in the titles of search snippets. Is Google experimenting with something new or there is some problem in my browser. I checked it in Firefox but at the same time when i checked it on IE, normal page was visible.

RE: Duplicate Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, is it a problem?
Thanks for the helpful reply Alan! Can you please explain this - "If it's only a few pages, sure, duplicate content there could have an impact". How duplicate content issues vary between small and big sites? I was under the impression that number of pages do not have any influence in duplicate content.
Is it okay to use the same privacy policy and terms of use across different websites as long as i noindex, follow them?

RE: Duplicate Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, is it a problem?
Thanks for the reply Ryan! But if i don't block it via robots.txt file or noindex tag, will it affect my site negatively? I mean the overall site
