I have NEVER heard anything about that. I would have remembered.
I just copied and pasted everything between from my site and came up with 8000+ characters. I RANK WORLDWIDE!
Ignore whatever you heard my friend. Hope that helps.

They have local chapters. I believe you can order over the phone, but here's their online form: http://www.la.bbb.org/Apply.aspx
Make sure to make yourself sound SMALL, okay? Because the larger your company is, the more they charge.
I don't totally understand your question, but I'll give it a shot.
Go to the bottom of this page and click the Facebook button: http://www.shipoverseas.com/us/ship-car/latin-america/shipping-car-to-puerto-rico.html
That button is a "share" button. "You" are "sharing" that page on "your" facebook wall.
Now if you copy that URL and paste it on your wall, you are also "sharing" that URL.
Sharing is NOT the number of posts I make on the company's wall. That's kind of like tweeting on your own wall. Tweets on other peoples wall is counted, but you can't tweet yourself and have it count. So if I tweet a URL from your website, then you get a tweet in SEOmoz. If I share your url on my FB, you get a share. If I like your URL on Facebook. you get a like.
Use friendly URLs. Do NOT use underscores. They are looked at as characters, not spaces. Here is Matt Cutts: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q3SFVfDIS5k

Mark this as good answer if it answers you qestion.
There are many people like me who help newbies like you. I enjoy helping out answering questions in my spare time. Once in a while, I have to ask questions too.
To answer your 1st question: Yes you are going to have duplicate content issues. SEOmoz won't catch everything especially if you don't put those URLs in a sitemap where they can access it.
Your client is doing it ALL WRONG!
Install Google Analytics. Use the Google Anaytics URL Builder : http://support.google.com/googleanalytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55578
Log in to GA and go to Traffic Sources > Campaigns.
I just created one for you: http://www.erasedisease.com/?utm_source=SEOmoz&utm_medium=QandA&utm_campaign=Francisco_Meza_affiliate . Click it and you'll see it populate in GA in a day or two. It'll make sense once you see it in action. Basically you are creating URLs to track campaigns from affiliates. Now you will NEVER have duplicate content issues.
When the last linkscape update happened, I saw a new incoming link from USA Today Travel. SeoMoz rates the link as a 9.5 for DA and PA is 24. The article was written by someone from Demand Media. I tried contacting the author to work out a deal. Since I did not receive a response, I investigated Demand Media myself. They are a large group of content writers. I have finished building the site and now I'm in the link building process for highly competitive keywords.
My 2 Questions:
If it's for a major university, then they will definitely have a university newspaper. When I was at UCLA, there was a whole department of journalist there. If I were you, I would hit them up and get a nice back link.
Get another company. I agree with Keri!
Go to GWT and look at your links.. GWT > Traffic > Links to Your Site > Who Links the Most > More.
This will show you the domains that link to you. CLick on "Download More Sample Links" and you'll get a breakdown of the individual pages that have the links pointing to your site.
how long does it take for webmaster tools and seomoz to detect new links?
This depends on the crawler, but I have found that GoogleBot is pretty fast; I think a couple weeks.
I 100% agree with Dan. He has the correct answer
I concur! Ezinearticles has a ton of Adsense crap on it anyway. I have a couple links coming from them, but it's not something I increased rankings for. Instead of using that time on article writing, I integrated ADDTHIS and Facebook Comments into my site. More shares and likes, more interest.

I used to cell sell phones through my old site, ebay and Amazon. If you are looking for a link builder, get a link building strategy first. Pay someone a couple hundred dollars to help build that for you, then go shopping around.
Also, I recommend that your link builder use software like Buzzstream for outreach. You can find a couple of agencies in the top 30 users of SeoMoz. (disclaimer: I'm one of the agencies). Some focus only on link penalty removal, some on conversions, some on link building.
That's a bit odd. Check your GWT links. Also make sure you are using the same domain: example.com vs www.example.com.
Millions of links? Check GWT and if there is something really suspicious, contact Google and tell them about what's happening. I don't know if you should tell them to devalue your links or what, but try to be as honest as you can.
eHow is run by Demand Media. You may want to look into that direction instead. As far as I know, a person cannot simply create an eHow account and start typing away. Recently I hired a Demand Media editor. She said that there basically is no more work for them and that many had to leave. She also said that the topics are very focused. Here is a straight copy and paste of an email from her:
they are starting to focus more on expertise focused articles, so unless you're, say, a mechanic who also knows how to write, you're out of the loop over there now.
Yes, here is my technical answer:
[Dog](www.example.com>Cat</a> (1st link)</p>
<p><a href=) (2nd link)
The only time I would expect that is if a marketer is using the Google URL builder and put "Scrabble dictionary" as the keyword.
I got a free t-shirt fr becoming an Authority! But it was the same t-shirt I got a Mozcon
But besides that, credibility.

If the question you are asking was true, then everyone on SEOmoz would have already done so. Google would have nothing to index on a domain has no website.
