This is all they are saying thus far, make any sense ? We've set it up as network.domain.com so that every language site - including the UK version - can be subfoldered from one master place. So in actuality the UK site is www.domain.com/uk but it is domain mapped to the central URL www.domain.com

Just to let you know my reports received a couple of days after this so thanks for that They do still have display issues such as chart legend saying June is July etc etc as well so please remember to fix those when you get a mo re future reports along with any data inconsistencies between GA and reports if any remain as per a previous support ticket many thanks dan

Thanks Joel so do you think best/simplest to set up new campaign/s in MA for both domain.com/US & domain.com/UK ? And if so can i edit the settings on the exsting domain to monitor the new domain.com/uk so maintains the historical data (rankings crawl errors etc) ? since if i did set up a new campaign for domain.com/uk would lose it surely ? Also i know your suffering a DDOS attack preventing some GA data and i see that at this campaign doesnt have any Search data in reporting at the moment.  I need to provide clients reports early next week will it repopulate that data by then do you know ? I wouldn't get too hung up on the Moz timeline, since that's only correlated with what Google does, to build a broader model. If Google has crawled/cached the 404 and the page actually is no longer in the index, then that page should stop inheriting and passing link equity. It can get complicated, because sometimes 404s have inbound links and other issues tied to them that can confuse the crawlers. So, I'd say it's situational. Moz (specifically, OSE) can help you determine what links still exist to those URLs, which really should guide whether you let them stay 404s or 301-redirect them to something relevant. The other aspect of the decision is just whether something relevant exists. If you clearly have built a page to replace the old one then 301-redirect it. If the old page is something that ceased to exist for a reason, then a 404 is probably fine unless that old page had a ton of inbound links. In that case, the 404 has essentially cut off those links. The problem is that those inbound links are still out there, so it's not that the authority has ceased to exist. It's that you've basically cut the pipe through which the authority flows.

Hi Dana i did tell the devs to do as you recommended (CSS divs etc) but they just replied saying they did it through javascript instead, but should be ok since on page load the text is defaulting to show. Do you think that would be ok or inadvisable to use java at all as i have also heard elsewhere ? (there has been a drop in rankings since they did this so i'm thinking not ? All Best Dan

ok thanks Chiaryn is that the actual name of the moz crawler (to allow in Robots) simply rogerbot ? or any other characters etc ? Also is it not the case that even when blocked by robots.txt G can still crawl/index it once password removed, think i read few comments somewhere on Moz that can still happen somehow ?
