How to set up new campaign/client in MA with this type of set up?

Hi

Im about to set up my new client on MA but typically they dont seem to be having a very straightforward config so please advise how i should set this up in campaign settings in MA , as in choosing root (domain.com) or sub domains (network.domain.com) etc etc:

"We've set it up as network.domain.com so that every language site - including the UK version - can be sub-foldered from one master place. So in actuality the UK site is www.domain.com/uk but it is domain mapped to the central URL www.domain.com"

I would also appreciate it if anyone can advise if this sort of set up (domain mapping as per above) can cause issues and is not recommended or should be fine ?
