Site architecture & breadcrumbs
Hi Dan, Well that will probably make it easier actually... If you are using the Yoast plugin then it can produce breadrumbs which are pretty flexible and you can also manually add canonicals for individual pages. In that case I would think just set up the breadcrumbs as you like and if it makes sense choose a main category for any pages in multiple categories and canonical to the main one. Test to confirm, but I would think you might be able to do it without getting your hands into the code at all! The canonical tags themselves shouldn't effect the breadcrumbs in any way, so you should be good to go.

Structured Data Authorship
ok thanks Chris but its not something to do with Yoast (platforms wordpress) ? the instruction would just be that getting warning signs in rich snippet testing tool and needs to be fixed ! Also just to confirm this is nothing to do with authorship (since that tested fine) & its just other structured date detected on the page ? cheers dan

Guidance for setting up new 301s after having just done so (
Hi Aleyda Sorry 1 more question: Ive noticed that the new pages have started to rank well already. In this case is it still advisable to 'fetch as google' in GWT the old redirected urls or, since the new pages have been found and ranking well, best to not fetch the old urls ? Best Rgds Dan

Keyword repeats/presence in url's & over-optimisation
Hi Kane Thanks alot for answering and your helpful reply We went with option 2 in the end. The original wasn't an option since the urls were being changed to include kw in the first level category pages anyway. I was worried if keeping kw in sub-category landing page url too would be overdoing it. Option 1 would still be my preferred choice for my own sites/projects but this is for a client so didn't want to risk 'over optimisation' Yes the 2 kw/pages are targeted by 2 different pages of unique content. Many thanks Dan
