Hi Diane, I don't think that is duplicate content.  I used Wordpress before and that is the same way I used to create menus and sort articles. You simply have articles and sorted out by categories but have multiple pages or ways to access that article.  I don't believe that is duplicate content.  Duplicate content is when you have the a chunk of content within your website that is similar.  However, I don't see that on your website.  What i see is you have an article, but can be accessed via the main page and the category page.

I'm not an expert with Joomla by any means, but based on your original post you seem confidant as to what the description tag should be, but then its not showing up in the actual code, so I feel like something with your Joomla setup isn't working.  Or possibly you have two plugins that are conflicting with one another?

i was thinking about having a seperate page for weight loss surgery and the hypnotherapy for weight loss but the responce we got was, people wanted to learn about both on the same page. On the page itself, the responce rate is about 10% ideally, i would like to increase this to 30%I have watched the page go down from ranking number one in google to number four. We have been number one for a couple of years now. Our compeditor who never seems to change their page and this leaves us puzzled to how all of a sudden they are outranking us is. www.hypnoband.com/ the hypno band company never alter their page but they are now ranking above us. one thing i have noticed in the past two weeks and i cannot work out how to solve this, is. the description we have for the page is Gastric Band Hypnotherapy to lose weight guaranteed. Diane, could you rephrase your statement in your first paragraph? You pressed good answer and it came up that you pressed good answer, I'm not sure what the problem is. But if there is a technical problem I'm happy to look into it. Is tracking your keywords in your campaign no longer working? On our page about the standalone rank tracking app (which is coming back -- I have helped test it), we do note that you  can use the manage keywords section of your campaign to track rankings. If this is not working, please let us know.

do you know how they do this. I have only just found the link and it seems that they have linked to one of my sites by claiming they are me. i have the details so will contact ebay and see what they can do

i think the trouble i have is, i do not mean for the keywords to appear so much but because they appear in the articles and i show a brief view of the articles on that page, they have the keyword of gastric band hypnosis and gastric band hypnotherapy in them. It is like i cannot win. i want to have the keywords in there in h2, and for the titles as that is what the page is about, maybe it maybe a good idea to get rid of the bottom section of about gastric band hypnotherapy

thanks for this, i have read about the brand but never really understood it as some people say it works and other people say it does not work. My brand is in2town which would not bring me traffic, the keywords that would bring me traffic is lifestyle news, online magazine, lifestyle magazine etc i have about 2000 old links pointing to different sections in my site, these have been put in my htaccess file, i have about another 2000 that are not pointing anywhere. I lost around 4,000 links because of the problem upgrading, long story but it is on the forum of what happened. should i be pointing the other links that are doing nothing to my home page or put them in the correct sections. if i point them all the the home page then the home page will have around 2000 links with so many different anchor text as a lot of the old links are story articles. many thanks for the advice

Hi Diane, Good to see you already got so many followers which is not an easy thing to achieve. Well with Twitter, Your name under the Profile Settings and your username are taken as the title tags for your profile. With profile image use, your brand name or keyword as filename. Actually, Twitter will automatically use your name under the Profile Settings as the ALT tag for your profile image as well. Optimise your twitter bio info. Applications like FollowerWonk pull out the keyword info from your bio and feed them to their users. Make sure you use hashtags with keywords which are high search volume or most efficient keywords in your niche. Other than that, checkout article1 published in mashable a while back.
