403 forbidden error how to solve them
Hi Tim, Glad it helped. It might be worth asking your host what kind of features they have for preventing flooding attacks, there are various ways of addressing them on the server side that most hosts will have enabled in one way or another. Unless you have a specific issue with these kind of attacks, it seems to me that this part of the module is causing more harm than good as it is now.

What is meant by to many on page links
Hi Tim, Keri and Dr. Pete http://www.distilled.net/blog/seo/site-navigation-for-seo/ From Seer Interactive. How many links are on the page? Matt Cutts recently came out with a video that provides some great insight as to how many links on a page Google will digest, but typically if we see over 150-200, we’ll look for a better opportunity. 3. Does PR flow through to the page you’re evaluating? PAGERANK IS NOT EVERYTHING, but it’s interesting to see if Google places that measurement of value on a page. If a page does have PR, fantastic. If it doesn’t, check other scoring systems like mR. http://forums.searchenginewatch.com/showthread.php?t=10494 http://youtu.be/l6g5hoBYlf0 http://www.screamingfrog.co.uk/link-building/ Use Seer Interactive's guide when using this tool it is fantastic http://www.seerinteractive.com/blog/screaming-frog-guide http://www.bad-neighborhood.com/text-link-tool.htm Seer has a great Screaming frog guide I think it's probably the best one published Here are the ways to find out about your internal and external links using Screaming frog http://www.seerinteractive.com/blog/screaming-frog-guide#I_want_information_about_all_of_the_internal_and_external_links_on_my_site Internal Links I want information about all of the internal and external links on my site (anchor text, directives, links per page etc.) I want to find broken internal links on a page or site I want to find broken outbound links on a page or site (or all outbound links in general) I want to find links that are being redirected I am looking for internal linking opportunities Good tip http://www.searchenginejournal.com/visualizing-link-data-with-screaming-frog-and-excel-part-1/43641/ http://www.distilled.net/excel-for-seo/ Use Distilled U or University http://www.distilled.net/u/ This is not an affiliate link I have been a member since the beta came out and I cannot speak more highly of it when it comes to learning about technical search engine optimization http://www.portent.com/library/seo-1/seo-4.htm http://fatfreeguide.com/link-recover/ Great free tools http://www.internetmarketingninjas.com/tools/ Links are critically important to webpages, not only for connecting to other, related pages to help end users find the information they want, but in optimizing the pages for SEO. How to make a bad posting drop down the search engines
Thanks for this. we did fill out a form with google but heard nothing back. at one time we had 30 sites with the same content as ours, when we contacted one of these sites and threatened them with legal action, they were very worried and a solicitor contacted us and told us that they were given the content by a third party. I cannot go to much into this for obvious reasons but the company in question is a franchise company who feel scared about the service so they use underhand tactics. What we need to do is to increase the brand exposure on google so the brand is always displaying in the top of google and people do not see these silly posts or bad articles.

Is anyone having problems with sending emails
This looks to be an IP problem obviously. But this could also be a faulty configuration in your DNS settings. I believe there is an setting for DNS managers where you set the name of the MAIL IP or URL. I suggest contacting the host about the DNS settings or if you're using a type of DNS manager. I've seen this in CloudFlare where you have to set your configurations correctly prior to sending emails.

Sub domain names will they help with rankings
thank you for this. I was looking at sites such as citylocal.co.uk and thebest.co.uk who do this for each city. They are a totally different type of website to our health site but they have a subdomain for each city, so i thought this maybe a way to go but obviously with what you have said, it is not the best approach to take. many thanks

Hacking and security
The wordpress hacking was almost surely due to having outdated version of WP, or having a vulnerable plugin installed. There are a few helpful plugins you can use to secure your WP site, plugins like (http://wordpress.org/plugins/better-wp-security/). also a couple things to note, you should also take basic measures to project the site by changing the default table prefixes of your DB from _wp, create a new admin user and delete the default "admin" accoun & limit access to your wp-admin section in your .htaccess file.... these security plugins will give you a whole checklist of items to "secure".

Has anyone heard of www.bloggen.be
Hi Tim, The first step is to determine if your content has been reproduced without your permission. The easiest way to do this is to simply search Google. Take a unique part of your content - a sentence of two, and wrap it in quotes for an exact match search, like this: http://www.google.co.uk/search?q="No+one+wants+to+work+with+someone+who’s+boring%2C+or+messy%2C+or+an+a-hole."&pws=0&gl=us You can also limit your search to a particular site with the site: operator. Dr. Pete has a good article about it. Or you can use one of several tools like Copyscape. To be honest, sites steal and scrape content all the time. Most of the time it isn't a problem, but occassionaly you may find folks misrepresenting you, profiting from your content or hurting your rankings. If this is the case, you should work to have the content removed. This can range from a simple letter to the webmaster to an official DMCA takedown notice, although it rarely comes to this. Hope this helps! Best of luck.
