I have a real estate website. On my sidebar I have about 16 links to pages on various neighborhoods. I templated my site using dream weaver so the same sidebar and links are on every page. I'm thinking of redesigning the sidebar and having one link that will take visitors to a page where all the neighborhood links will be and then from there visitors can choose whichever link to go to a specific neighborhood info page. I am doing this to clear space on my side bar for other content and links. What impact would this have on my home page? The website is bronxpad.com if anyone wants to check it out and provide feedback.

RE: Youtube or Own Server
So if I self host a video onto my site how can I ensure it functions well on all devices like the iPhone and iPad and android devices? Also how can I ensure that it doesn't take forever to upload over the server when a person clicks to play? Isn't bandwidth an issue? How does YouTube play a video while it's still loading? Thanks for your insight.

RE: Same day indexing... some tips for a non blog site
Hello, I asked a question about the yahoo directory for ranking purposes. I don't believe it would help with same day indexing. In order for same day indexing to take place you would need to have other sites that are being crawled that day to link to the new pages. Reason it takes up to 4 days is because while the search engines can scan the entire web quickly, the Internet is still very large. What you need to do is make sure you specifically request the search engine to revisit your site daily. Another thing you can do is do blast marketing of your new pages. I share them on all social media sites, digg, delicious, stumble upon, reddit, press releases etc. it's a full court press. Even then it's not guaranteed.

RE: Is Anybody Outside of SEO Industry Getting ROI from Google+ ?? Tell the truth!
I have had success with Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. But when it comes to Google+ its a ghost town for me. One thing I've noticed is I can't get a custom URL like I can with the other sites so promoting my G+ account in person is not as easy Or maybe i just don't know how if it is possible. Also I can't get people to join the network. I understand that those who can get G+ will benefit on local seo but getting people to take a moment away from Facebook and twitter to even register for a G+ account has been virtually impossible. How can I entice people to G+ my site? That is the million dollar question. Has anyone found a way to successfully get people onto G+?

RE: Is Yahoo Directory worth $300?
Thank you for your advice, my site is 7 months old so it's a young site but I am on page 1 for most of my main keywords and on page 2 for the rest. As a local real estate site competing for ranking against the national brands do you think it's worth it? What else should I be doing to be competitive? Thanks again.

RE: Premium Real Estate Wordpress Templates and SEO
I actually heard that diverse solutions which is owned by zillow isn't a good option for agents. I use idx broker which also has a pluggin for wordpress and I have domain control over it which is a must for seo purposes. Maybe I'm missing something which is very possible. In your opinion what makes diverse solutions better than IDX broker? Or are they similar or is IDX broker better? Thank you for your guidance.

RE: Is Yahoo Directory worth $300?
So Yahoo directory even though it's supposed to be an authority would still be considered as a paid link? I thought they were in the category of trusted directories since inclusion is not guaranteed.

RE: How do I stop www.mysite.com/ showing as a duplicate of www.mysite.com
What about using a 301 Redirect? Would that help as well? If so is the PHP version a good option if you don't have access to the htaccess?

RE: Don't use an h1 and just use h2's?
I think that basic on page seo needs to be followed. Meaning that you should have one h1 on the page and above the fold. That will signal to google the importance of that phrase. The rest should be h2 and h3 but used sparingly. This will give google something to compare the h1 to. I know some sites make the mistake of putting all there keywords on the main page in h1, that doesn't work and hurts the site in rankings. I'm not sure what your programmers thinking is, maybe he has knowledge that I don't have which is very possible but from my experience and constant reading of seo best practices h1 implemented correctly helps.

RE: Does commenting on relevant articles positively impact our seo?
There are a couple of things to look for. Does the link in the comment area have a no follow or do follow attribute? Also how many links are in the comment area? Google factors this in when determining how much link juice it'll pass along. You might benefit regardless if potential clients of yours are looking at those blog posts and then click your link. Example, I have a real estate website and I also comment on the Trulia blog that has a no follow attribute but those looking for an Agent might see my comment on the trulia blog click my link and I now have a lead.

RE: Which of these is the best guest blogging site
I just took a look at them as I'm not familiar with them. I see guestblogit has a free and paid version. Do you know what it means to have 1 live article with free membership or 5 live articles with paid membership? Is that per month?
