RE: Canonical or 301 redirect, that is the question?
what about using a php 301 redirect? is that also a good option? I'm looking for the simplest solution that doesn't mess up my seo efforts.
Thank you

Canonical or 301 redirect, that is the question?
So my site has duplicate content issues because of the index.html and the www and non www version of the site. What's the best way to deal with this without htaccess? Is it a 301 redirect or is it the canonical, or is it both?

RE: How long should you keep 301 redirects?
What's the best way to implement a 301 redirect if you don't have htaccess?

How to launch a Google + Campaign?
Recently I've been reading a lot about the benefits of Google + for SEO. The problem is that for local sites their might not be that many people in my niche who are signed up for google +. Now obviously I'd like to get a lot of +'s but whats the best way to go about it? How do I get people to one sign up for a google acount to create a google+ profile and then + my site? Sounds like a double campaign. Any body have any experience with this?

RE: How do you check to see if your site (site A) has already been linked to by another site (site B) when you have a large site with lots of links
First step is to visit that site and visualy confirm if they are linking to your site. If you find the link then use the seomoz bar for Firefox to make sure the link is being followed. If you can't find the link that way then I would suggest heading over to Google Webmasters and checking inbound links from there. You can do this in both analytics and the regular webmasters tools. If that doesn't work you can also try going to the google search bar and typing in link:www.mysite.com and getting a preview of links to the site. You can of course use the link tool on this site to get info but remember it is updated once per week I believe. If all else fails you can contact the site owner or webmaster and ask them where the link is so that you can do your part and promote that page.

RE: Over doing it on Press releases?
It's been said that content is king for a website and the same holds true for Press Releases. From my research ( not Experience ) I've read that the benefit of online press releases are not good by themselves but are good when the story gets picked up by an online newspaper. My advice would be to first have a great story to right a press release about, then spend quality time writing your press release and then choose a site that has high domain authority and page authority. You can use the link analysis tool on this site to determine which site is best. Then once you have your press release done blast email it to everyone you know and distribute it on all social networks. You will want it on Digg and Stumble Upon and other similar sites. You can also run a search on google for journalists who are in your target market and make sure they get a copy of your release. Email them, Call them, contact them by any means so that they can then use your release in their next story.

RE: Domain Age. What's a good age?
Thanks for your advice, I appreciate it. I used the Open Site Explorer tool here but for some reason I don't see the links that are pointing to my site. Google Webmasters shows i have over 1000 links which are all natural links and another tool shows that I have over 750 links.
What would you change about the site?
How would you rebuild the site?
It is a work in progress so your advice helps.
Thanks again.

RE: Domain Age. What's a good age?
Now I see sites above me that have domain age on their side but they don't have as many links. I have a lot of links that are organic. I also have a more robust site full of unique content that my competitors don't have. So in this case what steps should I take? Thank you for your advice.

Self hosted or YouTube Hosted Videos for SEO?
I am trying to plug holes in my site and the one thing that is lacking is unique videos. I was wondering what is the best way to go about videos for seo purposes?
Should I just post onto a youtube channel and then embed into my site or should I look to just place videos on my site with software or should I use any of the other venders out there like Vimeo? Not sure which is the best route.
Any tips?
