Thanks, Erica. I figured that. Moz's timeline is awesome! Definitely worth the custom coding.

Are directory websites still worth considering?
Local directories are good for local companies. Yes that is a good approach. You may want to look at Yext whitelabel package for marketing this service to your local clients.

Are new pages treated similar to new domains with respect to ranking?
If you are publishing "fresh news" about subjects that appear on other websites, it can be extremely difficult to rank because of the immediate volume of content being published, much of it on powerful sites. I can have established articles on my site, that have been there for years, this is a site with a DA of 76. These articles can be swamped in the SERPs by content being published on the New York Times, CNN, LA Times, and many other very powerful and very popular sites. My rankings will come back eventually, when the content is either deleted from the news sites or it is buried deep in their site as fresher news is added.

What is your experience with markups (schema.org) in terms of SEO and best practice learnings?
Hi Ryan, thanks for this! I'm also hoping to see more and more markups turn into Rich Snippets in the SERPs. But as you say, this is a story for another time as it will happen gradually. It's about getting a balance right between being too enthusiastic with schema.org and identifying the right level of information to markups... which is trickier than it seems! Thanks!

My old URL's are still indexing when I have redirected all of them, why is this happening?
It can take months for Google to start deindexing old URLs. Have you done a search in Google to see what pages they are still indexing? You can type in site:"Your Website" and it will give you the full results of URLs that are indexed. If there are any that shouldn't be, you can fetch and render them in GWT to force Google to crawl the 301 redirect, which should expedite the process. I am sure you submitted a new sitemap once you made all of your changes, but, if you haven't that could also help speed up the process.

High qualitty images and mobile
Thanks for the shout out, Ryan! Although, I think Smashing Magazine has already answered this question the best: http://www.smashingmagazine.com/2014/07/22/responsive-web-design-should-not-be-your-only-mobile-strategy/ Basically, what you want to do is load high quality images for desktop, but remove those images or serve lower quality images for mobile. You can either do this by loading the images you need with JavaScript rather than CSS, so matchMedia can change the images based on device type, or you can set up your server to deliver differently sized images based on device type. Hope this helps!

Promoting our blog posts. Effective ways and planning.
Links are nofollow and are brand-name-based. In my opinion a link that generate referral traffic is always good link, also in the eyes of Google I would not worry about it

Exact Keyword is Used in Page Title & Exact Keyword Used in Document Text at Least Once
On question 1, I'm surprised it's that specific that you can't include a space. I'm inclined to think Google knows the difference, but there isn't much out there. I did find this, but it's not definitive: http://www.searchenginejournal.com/registered-trademarks-and-other-symbols-in-the-title-tag/20463/. I may just try testing the impact of a mark (TM or R) next to the keyword. That would be useful to know. On question 2, I did a little more research and found this question answered quite nicely a couple years ago by Moz member Edward R. Jenkins: http://moz.com/community/q/maximum-length-of-the-url-for-seo-75-115
