On-page SEO opinion on this Wordpress theme
Also, it is a fixed rather than responsive layout. Google has announced that as of April 21 they will be expanding using mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal, so that would be a drawback. http://googlewebmastercentral.blogspot.ca/2015/02/finding-more-mobile-friendly-search.html

Redirect 301 & Wild Cards
Excellent! It matches up nicely with the example you provided, and always good to have someone on hand to make sure everything works as intended. Glad you found a good one.

Ranking strangeness
I take on all your points and would typically agree. However, for some keywords only a menu link to poor content exists but there is the relationship with the overall content/theme. What I would say is that the site was live some time before I began work so the pages were 'settled'. I've just not seen the scenario where all those directories nose dive completely off the radar and for a period the homepage (against some stiff competition) instantly dominate so strongly, previously struggling page 2-3. I've seen fluctuations but this was a bit whacky.

Why don't I outrank this site?
Moz is only one set of data and it is limited. There are a lot of other factors that come into play. Their anchor text could be richer, I see more followed domains for them in Ahrefs, they may have more NAP listings or branded mentions than you, they may be better optimized on site. It's hard to get an accurate picture of the landscape, but you just need to remember that all these tools provide insight and some data, but they're not working with a complete data set.

How should we act regarding a 404 that came from a 301?
Do you have internal links that use the .net address? That would make Google try to find them...

Positioning rethinking regarding triplicate keyword "landing pages"
I think it's appropriate to have your home page target your top traffic/revenue keyword. Since it looks like the "SEO landing page" does go into more detail about the product, rather than simply 301ing or using the canonical tag to point to the homepage, why not retarget the page to focus on a lower-traffic but still important topically-related keyword? That way, you still have a page that you can send users to when they want more information than your home page offers, but you're not cannibalizing your own keyword traffic. I certainly don't see any reason to take down your entire blog, unless there is another reason for doing so besides your concerns about keyword cannibalization. Since your blog category around casas de madera has no unique content and only serves as a category page, you could tag it with if you were really concerned about it outranking your home page, but you are probably fine to leave it as-is. I always recommend noindexing SEM landing pages, so that's what I would do there.

Facebook plugin comments and SEO
Ryan is correct, if you cannot see the text in the source code of a page, then the robots cannot see them either. There are not many widgets or plugins out there that are actually fully integrated.

Do Google webmaster tool and other backlinks analysis tool ignore the disavow data ?
I'm afraid you are in the same boat as the rest of us of guess work. I tend to assume they have disavowed the low end stuff but there is no way of knowing I'm afraid sorry.+ If in doubt reverse your roll think if you would disavow it assume they have.

Best way to regular check backlinks & identify low quality and spammy links?
1) What is the best way to regular check backlinks? Depends on your "style" you can use the following tools - Majestic SEO Ahref Open site explorer Google Webmaster tools All of the above 2) what to do if a spammy link appears Firstly ensure it is "spammy" sometimes links are seen to be spammy when they are not (it might just be a customer with a blog who really wants to say how great your brand it but they can't create a great looking website) if you are sure they are spammy though you can either drop the webmaster an email and ask them to either remove the link or change it to a no-follow link or you can disavow the link, you can also do both (which i recommend). Remember No-follow link - no worries. 3) What to do about directories that link to us Directories are not all bad, if they are in your niche and are helping really users find you then they are fine but if you are not sure try the above advice (point 2) 4) What to do with old links that are not good quality Remember a website is diverse it is meant to have low and high quality links and everything in between. If a website only has high quality it can look suspicious so unless they are spam so long as they are in the right niche and on point with your site they are fine. 5) Now I have to check number of links and quality of links of website so which is the best method check? See point 1. I would also recommend things like the Moz tool bar for a "at a glance" look of things. Look into Moz Page & domain authority or Majestic trust and citation flow etc. each brand has their own version which can help you judge a websites authority. Hope that helps.

What to do about pages I have deleted?
I agree with Thomas and Anthony, the best solution would be to move to a hosting provider that can give you the functionality you need. I'm not crazy about using meta refresh tags for anything, but Anthony's solution of using rel=canonical with the meta refresh would be an easier workaround than either redirecting through DNS or changing hosting providers. Specifically regarding your singagrams/singing telagrams page: I would not recommend creating a second page about the same content just to target variations of a keyword. That would be a pretty classic example of doorway pages, which Google has said they will be cracking down on. Instead, work to build the topical authority of the existing page for both singagrams and singing telegrams.

Not a mobile friendly website, will it hurt my rankings?
I totally agree with Moosa....I am guessing you also have limited resources. Maintaining two separate sites, one desktop and one mobile requires a lot of major time that most small businesses and small website owners just don't have. One version of your site that's managed via one CMS that is a responsive design is the way to go if you are short on time and resources...and let's face it...even if you are an enterprise corporation, you are still short on on resources.

When i search for my domain name - google asks "did you mean" - why?
Hi, thanks for the answers so far... Although i understand what you are saying - and why google would want to use the "did you mean" feature. I disagree that, in this case, its simply google tryin to help searchers - Why? if it was just because our domains are so close - litterally just 1 letter different, then in theory if i did the same search but for the other website - it would say "did you mean: my website"? http://goo.gl/yphgxE but it doesnt... This to me, means there is some kind of problem - devaluation of my website - so much so, google thinks if you search my domain name, you have searched it by mistake? Can anyone shed some more light on this? any advice welcome

Worried about changing local SEO homepage tactic
Hi Ali! I like Ryan's thinking and also want to emphasize one important point. Just because the new homepage will be beautiful, doesn't mean it can't include any text. There should still be crawlable text on the homepage, meaning you can still talk about your service there. Don't do away with all text.
