  • Philip, This page: http://www.picnicandtailgate.com/products/reclining-camp-chair-with-mlb-logos-by-picnic-time Should be the canonical version, referenced as such in the rel canonical tags, on these pages: http://www.picnicandtailgate.com/products/reclining-camp-chair-with-mlb-logos-by-picnic-time?variant=1367734467 http://www.picnicandtailgate.com/products/reclining-camp-chair-with-mlb-logos-by-picnic-time?variant=1367734531 http://www.picnicandtailgate.com/products/reclining-camp-chair-with-mlb-logos-by-picnic-time?variant=1367735171 This seems to be the way you have it set up at the moment, and I would leave it like that. If your hope is to get more search traffic for team-specific searches you'll either have to rely on that one page ranking for all team variations (each team is listed in the code from the selector box so you shouldn't need to add them somewhere else on the page) OR you'll have to create unique and useful content for each one of them that doesn't follow a pattern (i.e. don't just replace the team name on each page). Does that answer this question for you, or were there other related issues?

  • Chances are that this site is part of a  private network of sites being prepped for link building. They start by doing little wrong but building good PA/DA etc... and adding content in a specific genre Then suddenly links will start appearing on there in a short period of time and then eventually it will get caught by Google and possibly any sites linking from it will have their gains taken away or worse they may also get penalised in some way. There is NO secret sauce any more in link building. If they wont tell you then its grey/black hat and will get you penalised somewhere down the road. You can use link discovery tools to keep an eye on new links, like Majestic. But I would only go with transparency from an SEO company or your in for a a quick win and a terrible end.

  • Hi Folks, Thanks for generously responding to my query. Yeh I feel there must be some more information about the sites I am talking about. Sites are actually web-based applications to be used by our existing clients and will be completely available to search engines for indexing except the applications. Login areas and the applications onward have different urls not for search engine consumption but for the users only. Each site has only one product (application) to be sold/used by the clients. Rests of the promotional pages are very few and available to search engines. And I expect management is not interested to add up any more pages, even the one site has not even a single page so for except the application and login area. Hope this information is enough to help you frame you response to this specific situation. The sources you suggested I am consulting and in the meantime hoping to listen from you. Thanks

  • Good stuff, and good tip about the cached test only version. I hadn't heard that one before, and it looks like I might use it plenty. Thanks!

  • Hi Leon Sorry for the confusion. In preparation for mobile rankings, we had to merge the competitor column into a drop down so you will need to add a new module with the 3rd competitor displayed. Once we have a mobile rankings solution in place the columns will be Your rankings, 1 competitor rankings, and 1 mobile rankings. Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

  • Hey Joris, I'm afraid that we aren't able to see what parameters you are adding to GWT, since we don't use that information in any way to crawl your site. We conduct a proprietary crawl of the site and report on exactly what your source code and server respond with. Patrick is right that adding the canonical tags to your site (or using the robots.txt file to block the campaign pages) would clear up those errors in our crawler. Since some dynamic URL generators can cause problems for crawlers, we do try to be overly-inclusive of these issues. We want people to know about potential issues with sites, even if they're not really issues in the scheme of the site owner's specific SEO implementation plan. In sum, we'd rather leave those judgments up to you. I hope this helps explain our thinking here!

  • Hi there A rebrand is a business decision. I would take advantage of all the information from Umar as well as a few more points for good measure: Content Audit - Find what current content can be updated, consolidated, removed, and migrated to the new website. What other opportunities do you have for your content? Website Migration Guide from Moz - This will help make sure that your transition to the new website will go smooth and cover your bases. Backlink Audit - This will help you on a couple of fronts. First, you will find backlinks that you will want to update to the new domain once it is live and ready to go. Second, you will find links that you can either remove or disavow so that when you redirect, it won't be a factor. Change of Address - You will want to use this so that Google knows your site moved to a new address. Google also has a resource for when you move a website. Local SEO - If you have listings or citations, make sure those are updated. Perform an audit so you can make sure that any mention of your business is corrected and now points to a new domain. There are a lot of opportunities in rebranding, but you want to make sure that you take care of everything that you can to help users and search engines see that your site has moved and you are now a new brand. Hope this helps! Good luck!

  • If you have the Medium price plan or above the reports are branded. As far as i am aware its branded not white label, you can always export to an excel sheet and create your own report or download the branded report and send it from your own email address. Hope that helps.

  • Hi there! Can you try logging out of your account from the MozBar? Please click the Settings button and the Logout button to sign-out and then sign back in with your account, as shown in this screenshot: http://www.screencast.com/t/ROqaUFd8oUlo This should log you out of your Moz account on moz.com as well. When you log back in, check the MozBar to see if things are updated, and if not, try refreshing your page one more time. I'm hoping this solves your problem, but if it doesn't, please feel free to write into help@moz.com and we'll look into this further. Thanks! Kevin Help Team

  • for the subdomain to domain issue: From a SEO perspective a subdomain is less favorable. From a user perpective: Please explain to my father the domain zoekmachinemarketing.stramark.nl how are you going to explain that there should not be a www. in front of it? how are you going to explain the fact that it is not only stramark he has to go to, but actualy the subdomain because it has a different offer? I think young people can adapt somewhat better, but they are very used that they do not have to think. They just search from the adres bar and need the top result.

  • I believe with Kentico, you "SHOULD" be able to modify the UI to have a better feel, and sorta streamline it, that way only one person has to suffer, that person being the one doing all the set up. I'm going through that right now. I'm building out a program that is a total nightmare. For everybody else, it should be pretty nice though... in theory...

  • Ha thanks for that. I read all over about these external links and everything seemed to point the same way that they were links pointing out over. A reword in the description of the crawl test categories I think is needed! Thanks again - Problem solved!
