What is the best SEO way for a shop
Without a doubt domain.com/shop. Think about it though from a customer point of view, most languages read from left to right, so with the /shop they subconsciously read your brand name before the shop, however with the shop.domain.com they may just stop when they see shop as that's where they know they need to be.

A blank moz bar
Hi Andrew! I checked out the site and got the same result. Unfortunately, the MozBar doesn't work on some sites because of the way those sites are structured. But! There is a workaround for this issue. Open the MozBar on a different site and click on the "dock on bottom" button next to the gear icon. Then return to the website you are having issues with and refresh the page. The MozBar will appear on the bottom. Thanks and let me know if you have any questions! Roxana

Blog commenting counter exact match do-follow backlinks?
Hi there, To add to what others have said, I don't think this is a good idea. If you have lots of low quality backlinks already, then you need to clean these up by removing as many as possible and adding the rest to a disavow file in Google Webmaster Tools. Building more blog comment links is very, very unlikely to help with anything and may actually hurt you more. Once you've removed or disavowed the low quality links, you should then concentrate on building good quality links instead. Here are a few links that may be helpful: https://moz.com/blog/link-audit-guide-for-effective-link-removals-risk-mitigation https://moz.com/blog/category/link-building I hope that helps! Paddy

Weird rankings... I'm lost & confused...
No errors with the HTTPS. Checked Ahrefs: very few direct anchors. Most anchors are on their real name from big publications and other websites citing the company... These websites always write topic-relevant content (and include the keyword close to the anchor). I'm desperate with this client

Looking for critical review of site
The backlinks are a problem. You have some obvious link networks on there, specifically: top.ind.in options.pw submit.pw aahana.co.in toplist.space toplist.ws toplist.co.in url.firm.in alexa.in.net toplist.in.net All of these are on the same IP. That's a whole lot of domains on one IP address that all link back to you - and that's not the only network set. I'm not sure how much the sitewides from zeldaeurope.de and vgchartz.com are helping you either. The zeldaeurope is listed as an "affiliate" with almost 80,000 dofollow links. Google may be seeing that as a paid footer link. Homepage is a bit slow - 2.9 MB and over 8 sec load time on Pingdom. Content - mentions the 3 main keywords - "zelda" "triforce" and "game" or "gaming" at least 300 combined times in the code. It's pretty high, I think. Especially given that your title has Zelda three times as well. We've found that 1 is best, 2 if you're separating with pipe - but 3 is usually too much. So between the two, a bit of a Panda bite. I also see two major ads above the fold. One is for Forex, the other for a bank. A refresh shows me Careers Australia & a cloud security company. I mean the ads aren't even closely related. A gaming site with a big forex ad tells me there's an issue somewhere, as well. Sorry I can't go further but as Matt said, you could always get someone to help you out outside the forum.

Help fixing duplicate content issues
Presumably humans will still be able to find your search results pages as needed by using the search function on your site. This way, they won't enter your site on a page that might be confusing for them - in my view, it's a win-win! Best of luck!

Buy exact match domain and 301 worth it?
Hello there, There are benefits to taking this route - you will generate some link juice for your website (less than it currently has obviously due to the 301). You will have to make sure that your hosting is set up separately so you are not risking any kind of algorithmic/manual penalty. Keep in mind that a redirect will also impact the UX since you don't know whether that traffic is through search visitors, return visitors, or if there are hacking issues leading to ghost visitors. If this traffic is made up of the latter 2 options, you may face branding issues when they are not finding the website/brand they expect when they look it up. There are many variables, but the biggest I see are these: What is the cost? You need to know what you're spending and whether the investment will be worth the link juice/traffic you get out of it. What market are you targeting? If this business is locally-focused, you need to look into the local side/map pack listings and whether this will benefit you. If it is more broadly-situated, this is less of a factor. Are the benefits worth the costs? 17 TF/23 CF are not terrific metrics if there is a significant cost to the website. I would say that this is a buyer beware scenario. Do you have a way of knowing whether the metrics will stay the same after purchase? Anyone can buy or re-direct links for temporary rankings and remove them after purchase. Again - buyer beware. I would say you are probably better off generating your own content and building up your site (and link profile) yourself - that way you know what you have and what has gone into the site to generate your own rankings. There are a lot of risks to take for the path you are suggesting and while there are benefits, the likelihood of success would be low enough to make me cautious. Hope this helps! Rob

Can ALT tags for a Gallery be identical for all images with just the no changes?
Hi Oliver, I'm assuming what you mean is "can Alt tags be identical for all images if only the number changes"? If that is the question, then you will find that it won't help you out too much. Alt Tags on their own are only a small part of on-site optimization, and feature as a minor factor for Google. This question was answered very well a few years ago in this post: https://moz.com/community/q/alt-tag-labels-that-use-near-duplicate-text-seo-no-no Basically, you will be unlikely to receive a penalty/algorithmic suppression, but this is not best practice. You may be risking keyword stuffing by following this route. Personally, I think you are better off focusing on generating optimized content and a solid, healthy (natural) link profile rather than getting too focused on Alt Tags. Hope this helps! Rob

My SEO friend says my website is not being indexed by Google considering the keywords he has placed in the page and URL what does that mean?
Hi Oliver, There are a lot of factors that go into on-site optimization. Here are a few: Title Tags Does your website feature Title Tags featuring the keywords you are targeting? This is a major factor Google takes into consideration when indexing your website for your key terms. H1 Headings Same as above, but on the pages themselves. They tell Googlebot what the page is about and what it should be indexed under. When were these changes made? Indexing can take weeks to occur after you have made site changes. Google will get around to it some time. Robots.txt Is your robots.txt file blocking Google access? Make sure you are open to Google before determining it is not indexing your website. Content The content of the page should feature the keywords you are targeting, but make sure not to over-optimize your content for these keywords. Stuffing terms into the page in unnatural places is a good way to have your website penalized. Definition When your friend says "Google isn't indexing your site", what reasons/evidence do they have? Are they using rank tracking software? Some of this software will not show your website if it does not appear in SERP's above a certain point (SERPbook, for example, only should the top 300 SERP results for a keyword if you meet that criteria). Consider each of these factors and see if there is something you are missing - feel free to follow up with me if you have additional questions. Best of luck! Rob

How can i make Google to consider my News pages
Thanks a lot To be considered for inclusion in Google News content, you need a Google account and (with that account) to submit the site in question for review to the Google News Publisher Center. There is no guarantee a site will be included. Can you tell me where i need to do this?

Incorrect client zip code in Moz Local
Hi Robert, This sounds like something we would need to look into from this end. I have created a ticket asking for a bit more listing information so we should be able to correspond there. Hopefully once we get a bit more information we can get this all sorted. For now I wish you a spectacular day and look forward to speaking with you soon!

Sneaky redirect happening on my wordpress site.
Yeah that is strange. I'm stumped on that one myself. The info I'm finding on awin1, awclick.php, etc. is all kind of loose and not very helpful anyway. Very odd. I'll be curious to hear if you figure out why that seems to be inserted in between destinations for you. Good luck, and if I come across anything else I'll post here as well.
