So the non dub version of the URL points to www right now. Somehow, what they plan to do is take 25% of all visitors to our website and send them to www2 instead of www. I don't know how this works personally. I guess with analytics, how do you even set that up? As a separate profile in Google Analytics? But the domain is the same, so can you do sub-domain specific? I need separate analytics for the new site to make sure conversions look good, and that's what I'm not sure how to set up. My secondary concern is doing a noindex on the www2 subdomain. Is that the best way to keep this out of the index? Once testing is done we'll move the new site to www and redirect www2 to it as well. Any thoughts on that set up?

It's a good idea to audit each page and improve upon the optimization if needed. I agree that editing the URL is not needed in most cases. First, make sure you follow a keyword map that shows which pages should rank for which phrases. So assign each keyword to the correct page. Then, decide which keywords from the map for a specific page should be in the title tag, heading tags, content, alt text, and from internal links to this page from other pages. For any keywords currently ranking well, you should test a few optimization tweeks to see if you can improve your ranking a little bit.

You might be able to first remove the /Login URL + variants from Google (+ noindex it) and once it is removed, add the Disallow so it doesn't get crawled so no crawl budget is wasted on the probably low-content-value login URL.

TW, Don't keyword stuff the alt tags.  The alt tag should accurately describe the image for people who have images turned off on their browser. Each image should have a different description and have a good reason for being on the page.

Thank you for your prompt response. Yes, my products are categorized under each collection and then individually as well. In total there's around 200 individual products and around  50 other pages including few blogs. I agree it's a time consuming process. I also wish I knew which ones could be regarded as the easiest to target. Is it better to start with the keywords our site is already ranking for?

Is your site ranking well already? The FAQ not showing up might be related to your site's overall authority / relevancy. How old is the site? Does it get page 1 rankings elsewhere? Are other FAQs showing up? Have you tried different searches or where do you expect your FAQ to show?

I agree with Chris, focus on a smaller segment and get it ranking. At the same time, think of Google spending money processing your website, so whatever you have them processed, should be high quality, unique content, having the user in mind, and being well inter-linked within your site structure. Content not being indexed is often a sign of poor site architecture or huge amounts of low-value content.

In this case, you should avoid using software for making bad links and get your top pages to report in good ranking, never try, the software can bring your ranking less or 0 due to what Google already said.
