  • Thanks, yea I had a look at the site using the domain you posted above. As I say - best way to answer this question is to look at the numbers for your site. If you see pages that are less valuable then you can consider handling linking to them in another way

  • Helth Insurance is a tough topic right now the query you sent me does not have any featured snippets showing for it. You need to utilize it will  need to utilize it will like Moz , Ahrefs , SEMrush or GetSTAT to find query swear feature snippets are not cemented from the competition. Meaning if the competition has had it for a period of over six months there’s a very low chance it’s going to be changed unfortunately. Not to say that it can’t be. if you would be kind enough to share your domain with me I can give you much more valuable insight. Also if you don’t want to post it here feel free to message me at my profile by clicking on my photo. https://ahrefs.com/blog/find-featured-snippets/ https://getstat.com/blog/best-words-generate-featured-snippets/ https://mangools.com/blog/google-featured-snippets-guide/ The gods above will be helpful in terms of what you need to know about  Featured snippets but I would be wasting your time without knowing you’re domain  that way I could tell you were to go for. Hope this helps, Tom Zickell

  • Hi! That's such a good question, we made an entire resource page about it. (https://moz.com/learn/seo/domain-authority) There's also a video! Domain Authority is a purely Moz metric and is different from Domain Rating. Here's a preview of the video: Domain Authority is a score (on a 100-point scale) developed by Moz that predicts how well a website will rank on search engines. Use Domain Authority when comparing one site to another or tracking the “strength” of your website over time. We calculate this metric by combining all of our other link metrics—linking root domains, number of total links, etc.—into a single score. Feel free to reach out to help@moz.com if you have any specific quesitons,

  • Eric, There are no absolutes in SEO.  Ask me any question and I can give you 5 different good answers for it. There are no absolutes when it comes to platforms for SEO tools, either.  They've each arrived at their distinct solutions from different perspectives, although they may be trying to attain the same goals. Experience is the answer.  Using and comparing how the tools provide the answers you're looking for is what make them shine for each of their particular qualities. You have to use them all to understand how to compare them all. There are no shortcuts to that.

  • Totally agree with Kate, Google doesn't have access to this information, an uptick in messages is a good thing if you can tie that back to your business being more popular but I definitely wouldn't pay to have bots send messages for the sake of SEO.

  • Yeah, second that. Remember DA is not Google. If a gig is offered for this service and seems to be to easy/sleazy or doesn't make sense, not worth doing. Understand your point--I'm sure MOZ will continually update DA and close up the loopholes.

  • Hi there, nofollow links shouldn't harm your site's performance in and of themselves - they should just be ignored by Google when trying to rank your site. If you're finding that 99% of the links to your site are nofollow then perhaps you would want to have a look at how you are marketing the site - do you think the links are driving value in terms of getting real customers coming to the site to buy? If so then great, if it looks more like they are artificial and not driving value then even aside from whether they'll harm your rankings they could be harming your business in that time and money is being spent on something that isn't helping it grow. Long answer short - wouldn't worry about nofollow links too much, but wouldn't specifically go out to get them unless there is a non-SEO strategy behind it. Hope that helps!
