Is there a development solution for AJAX-based sites and indexing in Bing/Yahoo?
I do! If you log into Bing Webmaster Tools, and go to the Crawl Settings, you'll see a new checkbox at the bottom, with the option "Configure your site to have bingbot crawl escaped fragmented URLs containing #!." According to the Search Engine Land post here, "It appears as though this means Bing will crawl #! URLs according to the Google standard. The help information hasn’t been updated, so it’s hard to say for sure." It sounds like this is the option you're looking for?

Bing ranking my non-www version of my site.
I had my server admin do a 301 redirect from the www to the non-www version of a site at the server level (probably like above) - and had no duplicate content issues crop up. That was accomplished without canonical tagging page by page. I do this now with all sites hosted where I have an admin - I am not a backend administrator.

Are duplicate titles an issue for pages I don't need ranking for?
Hi, If these are pages that you "don't want to be ranked" then you should add meta "noindex" tag to them immediately so that they are removed from the index and will not be added with new crawls. As evidenced by your own question, they are pages you don't care about. That means you have no reason to make them great pages. This said, leaving them available for indexing is a "panda slap" waiting to happen. I would treat the "noindex" as a priority. Hope that helps, Sha

Does keyword density on a landing page effect SEO?
As people have said Keyword Density isn't really a thing. You do want to have the keywords you're targeting on the page, but you don't need to have every third word as a keyword Here's some links to help you digest why keyword density isn't something to worry about: Myths that persist (YOUmoz) - http://www.seomoz.org/ugc/seo-myths-that-persist-keyword-density Opinions on SEO Myths - http://www.seomoz.org/blog/some-opinions-on-the-seo-myths-realities-fight Beginners guide part 9 - http://guides.seomoz.org/chapter-9-myths-and-misconceptions-about-search-engines The fact they all have myth in them should give you an idea about how much credence it's given these days

Duplicate Page Title
Russell, you'll want to take a second look at the .htaccess file. http://www.aboutaburningfire.com/index.html gives me a 404 error instead of going to the home page.

Should I have a 'more' button for links?
I dont think that you should have a problem if you place the links in a container, you should not have a problem. You can fight it out with your colleague on this. Its not a banned technique on Google.

Is the full URL necessary for successful Canonical Links?
Thanks I will get the full URLs implemented to avoid any future confusions. I can't give an exact size of the site but I know it is much larger than it should be. It seems as though our CMS has been unnecessarily producing new URLs for the same pages over and over which we are aiming to fix very soon.

Quick ranking boost
Spamming, but I assume you're looking for something more long term If it's not that competitive then you're not going to need that much to rank. You might be able to get away with some directory and article submissions to give you enough linking domain diversity to rank, but if you can get a few quality links in as well I would guess that could do it. Really there's nothing different you need to do for low competition keywords, you just need to do less of it

Additional page listings under main listing in google
The structure of your site will help determine which links are shown once you have sitelinks, but structure alone will not help you get sitelinks in the first place. Normally sitelinks are your top level pages, so navigation and internal linking to reflect those you most value would place some emphasis on which ones Google may choose to show.
