  • Have you obtained local citation type links?  Links that come from other sites and directories with similar or the same geographic location signals on them?  They're vital.  Also, have you obtained a wide variety of links pointing to your internal pages? And how well optimized is your site compared to the others showing up?   Have you created a sweet  spot chart to compare your site to theirs? For example - how many pages does your site have for "renovations" compared to those competitors?  Even though Place page ranking has rules unique to Place pages, these optimization factors are still important.

  • 0 page rank is based on the ToolBar PageRank?  Are you aware TBPR is both inaccurate and not updated more than a couple or at most a few times a year?  It's NOT the real PageRank your site has. Focus on continuing to do what you have been, and now emphasize quality link building.  Leave the TBPR concerns to others while you continue to get results and improve on them! Just a suggestion anyhow.

  • But how do you individually optimize hundreds, or even thousands, of additional pages?  It MUST be template-driven with subtle changes such as "My Products - Page X", which may be even too subtle for Google to render a non-duplicate content page, no? I completely understand your point, but I have been struggling with this for a while now.  I hate the thought of my paged pages competing with the top page (page 1). What more could you possibly do to optimize H1, Title, etc., tags than to simply add the current page # (while keeping things automated over thousands of pages)? Any additional thoughts, anybody?

  • No you will not get peanlized for that amount do not worry just try and make the anchors different and natural =).. google will only take action if you have 3,000,000 links for example from 1 domain and 5 links from 5 domains in a space of 1 week and all the anchor texts are the same i.e. "SEO Consultant" on 3 million pages from 1 domain lol.. you can also look at domains linking in Google Webmaster tools Regards

  • Actually it depends on the content and site intent. Taking Tyler's suggestion further, If there are several products or services in each primary category then it could be: domain.com/dodge/ domain.com/dodge/viper.html or domain.com/dodge/ domain.com/dodge/viper/ domain.com/dodge/viper/roadster.html domain.com/dodge/viper/sports-coup.html Also, using "car" in the URL as Tyler suggests only makes sense if you are targeting the broad "car" related searches, or if you have categories such as "cars", "trucks" etc.  And if you do, having domain.com/cars/ would be better than domain.com/car/ In any event, you also need to consider user experience - stuffing too many keywords in a URL can become ugly. Do it right and you can get the additional benefit of Google including your URL structure in the SERP in a way that makes it look like breadcrumbs - replacing the URL shown.

  • Well, let's look at it from an hourly perspective. 14 posts a month on twitter and facebook = maybe 3-5 hours? 3 blog posts = could be 3 hours, could be 20 hours, depending on depth and complexity As far as hourly rates, I would expect something roughly as follows: <$100 for small, startup, new, etc agencies $100-200 for small to medium agencies $200+ for larger and more established agencies So if we budgeted 15 hours, cost might be $1,000-$3,000+
