Any recent discoveries or observations on the "Official Line" of incoming link penalization?
There definitely are and have been for a long time... I was one of them for a while, I linked spammed with software to get sites up. That is until I realized what proper SEO was, and how much better it is, especially in the long term. That's just the problem though... it did work to a certain extent, but it came with its problems.

How to track keyword performance over time?
You can run a graphical report showing your Ranking History for each keyword targeted since you started your campaign. To do this log into your campaign. Click View This Campaign/All Keyword Rankings. On your Rankings Report click on the ranking you want to see charted. For instance, if you rank #1 on Google for a keyword this week, you can click on that ranking and a graphical report showing your Ranking History for that keyword since you started your campaign for that word will appear.

Anyone else seeing a new google search result look?
I'm not sure how I feel about the +1 thing that they are trying to do to help influence search results. Kind of a ripoff of Facebook's "like" button. Seems like its not widespread enough, so they are probably just up to their usual testing.

.com Doman and off-shore host for an Australia company, does this hurt ratings?
I wouldn't take chances. I would host on shore and use the country-specific domain. How search engines are behavin' today might be very different from tomorrow. So, I would go with what makes logical sense.

Widgetbox.com Widgets - SEO Tomfoolery?
I'd like to bump this and mention that the widgets are actually included on the page as an iframe when javascript is enabled... again, any thoughts on the SEO validity of viral widgets? Disregarding any marketing/ brand awareness benefits.

Quick Keyword Difficulty Question
Hi Joe, I have found that most scores for what I deem to be mildly competitive keywords seem to be around the 45% - 55% Mark, with those being strongly competitive at 60%+ and low competition at about 25%. I have never come across anything dropping below 25% or above the high 60% range so for me I use these as the limits. So to answer your question I would classify a score of 60% much more competitive than a score of 50%. Mark

Adwords Confusion - Where are these clicks coming from?
Thanks for all the help everyone! It appears that those supposed 'phantom clicks' are a result of our product listings being added to the campaigns, and those don't get tracked as individual keyword clicks. Here is the exact response I got back from Google for future reference: "Having reviewed your account, we can see that you have successfully setup product listing ads for your campaigns. So, the missing clicks are from the product listing ads. Please note that the keywords do not record any clicks for product listing ads. Instead, to view the statistics of the product listing ads, please select desired campaign and click on 'Auto Targets' tab found beside Ad Extensions in the central menu bar. This will give you performance statistics for your product ads."
