Does the Referral Traffic from a Link Influence the SEO Value of that Link?
Haha brilliant! I'm totally with you on that. And since Matt doesn't tend to divulge much (and half of what he does is cryptic) that would put Rand as source number one, or I should say Rand & co... all the staff and associates, etc... on here are pretty much a fountain of knowledge. I'd be screwed if I didn't have SEOmoz to learn things from.

301 Redirects - SEO Benefit?
From what I understand of Panda is that Panda is an algorithm update therefore the same exact site built on a different domain will most likely suffer the same fate. Google rarely delivers reviewed penalties. Human hands are rarely involved. You are playing a video game against a machine. The machine will react about the same way every single time. 301s only help push forward some link juice. They don't seem to pass all of the link juice forward. They will pass all of the traffic forward.

Level 1 Child Redirect to Level 3 (SEO)
I'd like to get an SEO point of view on Redirecting Level 1 Pages (ie: main pages) to Level 3. I am thinking (hoping) you may not be using the proper verbiage. If you have a link from your home page to a page within your site, whether that page is 1 level or 10 levels deep, it is referred to as a "link". A redirect happens when the target page automatically bounces you to another page. Links are a good thing for your site as they help users and crawlers locate pages quickly and easily. If a user didn't have the link, they would need to navigate from your home page to the motorcycles page, then to the bandit page, then finally to the cb600-hornet page which would take 3 clicks. The link offers the ability to get to the page in 1 click. Redirects are great when required, but they also do not pass the full amount of link juice on to the target page, so they should be avoided when possible. Is there any point adding in title and description tags for these 2 levels seems as there is no content? If the pages have no content, you should add a "noindex, follow" tag to these pages so they do not get indexed. Then there would be no need to add a title nor description tag. Of course, the best option would be to add quality content to these pages, but the choice is yours.

SEOMoz only crawling 5 pages of my website
You should have setup a subdomain (which is what you are very linkely to have done anyway) but this linking issue is a real sticking point for you at the moment. It's difficult to give you concrete advise without knowing your friend's business model, marketing strategy and content, owever, lets just say for neatness he wants to keep his main squeeze page as it is - at www.kingofcopy.com - you could separate all of the squeeze pages from the 'subscribers' content by creating a sub folder called 'members-area' for example - so www.kingofcopy.com contains the squeeze page where it is now (and additional sqeeze pages reside at www.kingofcopy.com/maxoutsideusa.html etc) and all of the opt in content is moved to www.kingofcopy.com/members-area/ ensuring all of the good info that shouldn't be visible is noindexed accordingly. Of course, this advise is based on the assumption that you only want to rank squeeze pages. If I were undertaking this project I would do things a little differently - as I believe that sqeeze pages have now lost some of their kick - perhaps due to the huge numbers of them I have seen... So instead I would have a lot of teaser articles and videos - which contain a lot of good keyword targeted content all SEOd to the max, making sure that there are some good nuggets of info in them - so that the reader thinks - Wow! If the stuff he gives away for free is this good then I can't wait to find out how much better the paid for stuff is! In terms of onpage SEO and campaign management - separate content which you want highly visible from the members only content - store non-indexed pages emembers pages within a sub-folder - link all of the content you want visible and indexing in some way

Question on Google's Differentiation
There is not an official answer. It would be proprietary information from Google. Google collects an incredible amount of data and is able to use any and all of it to configure customized search for what they deem to be a better user experience. Some examples (the basics) user location past user searches from their Google account past user searches from their pc (cache) Google gathers tons of additional information and can use any of it to further customize a search. For example, if you search for "clearing browser cache" then Google COULD determine what browser you are using and automatically use that information to add "Firefox" or your browser name to the query. In my latest test they were not making this change. Google provides the Chrome browser which is popular and collects even more information. They also provide free Wi-Fi service which collects a lot of data. Additionally they collect a ton of other data such as your hardware configuration, software and more.

Why does SEOMoz Pro only do Rankings Once a Week?
To keep the price down at $99. Devoting resources to bi-weekly ranking reports wouldn't be the best use of them, I imagine. The same resources could be used to analyse better data more often. You could also ask - why only 50 credits for the keyword difficulty tool? They're just delivering what they feel is the optimal balance of features for the $99 you pay.

Do crawl reports see canonical tags?
Thanks! Is there a good way for me to check the whole site to identify a problem? In other words, if one is a problem, I should assume that others could be a problem. What is the best way to check? Thank you so much! I am not quite sure what to do and help is most appreciated. Eric
