Image alt attribute vs. plain text in link?
Nope. Sorry. Google can crawl CSS, so anything you do to hide text (z-index, position:relative, etc) is easily detectable (Google can even parse javascript). Now, sometimes you can get away with such things, like in a drop down menu for example. But if you do it, be sure to use the standards from a site that is well indexed. You're right, I was looking at that to... hahaha. From my experience though, It's better to have one link.. maybe not much better, but at least a little bit. Does this help Jonathan?

2000 pages indexed in Yahoo, 0 in Google. NO PR, What is wrong?
The site is just looking like a site of a blog network. The domain is 5 years old & the home page has DA & PA of 34 still not indexed by Google. I searched for site:livingorganicnews.com in Google which is not giving any results. So it shows that the site is penalized by Google. Use Google webmaster tools for further verification so as to find the reason. Most probably it's penalized because of being a site of a paid blog network.

Obtaining followed links - white or black?
lets say I have 2 sites (two companies I am doing SEO for) one is for a Taxi service and one is for a limo service. Would me offering my taxi traffic a link to a limo service be black hat? **no way! ** Would google look at that link as a bad link? I highly doubt it! Kink building is great and works as long as the sources are relevant. Googles goals are to make money. in order to make money they need the best search engine. In order to have the best search engine they need the best SERP's. The only way have the best SERP's is via user interaction. If the user likes the link so will Google.

Does publishing your physical company address increase your Google Trust?
Google may, or may not, take into account the physical address but I know that the more discerning customer definitely does care. I recommend to all of my SEO customers to add their physical address, even if it is just a PO Box, as it furthers Google's stated aims of adding truth and transparency to the internet.

SEOmoz does not recognise < in title yet recommends it!!!!
This does sound like a bug. You can send an email to help@seomoz.org and the help team will get back to you. Ryan, the help desk employees usually come in because I or another associate send them a note. We're all still trying to figure out the best balance of how and where to address these issues.

Can Anyone show me a site that has followed the seomoz seo rules
I am not sure that it helps rankings yet, but it cannot hurt them and it will help at some point in the future. As search engines try harder to understand what sites are about, using contextual markup will help. These changes to HTML and also the schema.org rich snippets will be used in future and will help. SEO is evolutionally as are development practices and it is all about staying ahead of the competition when search engines change the playing field. I do know following the guidelines here, getting strong relevent links built and ensuring a fast user experience helps rank on sites we built. Does it give us an advantage oer the competition? Maybe, only time will tell.
