What are the best sources for finding competitor PPC spending by category?
I as well had a Spyfu account. I wasn't impressed. The numbers are pretty inaccurate. The best you can do is get a very ballpark range of spend. However, I'm not sure there are bulletproof sources for this information outside the walls of the paid advertising provider anyway. I could be wrong though.

How do you manage Wordpress URL hierarchy with permalinks?
That certainly works from a functional perspective. Based on the original question and the avoidance of any numbers in the current URL, it seems that would be quite undesirable. Many people want to avoid all numbers in URLs as it looks quite ugly. Including the post id allows a balance between minimizing numerical use, and functionality.

Too many on page links on ecommerce site
There isn't a specific penalty, but you are diluting the flow of "link juice" by linking to everything from your homepage. If you've ever heard of link scultping (a bruce clay technique), it might be of use here. Basically you have your top menu items as normal text links, and the lower levels are pulled in through javascript so the search engines don't spider them. It gets a lot more complicated than that, but at least it will point you in the right direction.

Sharethis vs addthis
Our recent experience with the AddThis buttons/script - is that it slowed our page load time down tremendously, so we removed it. Did not try loading it asynchronously, which may have helped.

Paid CTR Vs Organic CTR for high ranked terms - say average position 2 in Adwords and average position of 4 in Google SERP
I'd agree with EGOL's suggestions for improving CTR. As far as expected CTR for position 5 in the organic results, the average is around 1-2% CTR. This is going to vary depending on the quality of the other results (your CTR will be inversely related to the quality of the other results). You will also have to consider what verticals Google is pulling into the SERP. Your CTR might be worse than average if shopping results are showing above your listing. You might also want to question the reliability of GWT impression and entrance data for the sake of testing CTR. In my experience the data they provide isn't accurate enough to come to a conclusion on the success of CTR tests.

Keywords in file names vs folder names
The short answer is, it does not matter. The recommendation I would make is to use what some people refer to as "technology-proof" URLs. Drop the file extension. Why? it looks cleaner and nicer to users it makes it a bit harder (more work) for someone who wants to hack your site as they are unsure of your page's language it gives you the flexibility to change technologies without requiring a new URL (from html to php for example) The only difference between your URLs then would be the trailing slash. It is a matter of personal preference but I add the trailing slash to indicate a folder, and no slash to indicate it is a file. Matt Cutts has a couple videos on URLs and file names which you may enjoy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRzMhlFZz9I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=971qGsTPs8M

Are you getting any action from Google +1 ?
I am not seeing any measurable results from Google + In my opinion a Google + button is a waste of page real estate - at least for the topics that my sites are about.

How does SeoMoz works with noindex meta tags?
Agreed - that must be a mistake on our end. Can you send an email to help@seomoz.org with the URLs in question (just a sample of 4 or 5 would help) and we'll figure out the problem. We shouldn't be counting those for any warnings at all!
