  • Hi! I've asked for another associate with more Panda experience than I to come in and comment on this question. Byork, knowing a little more about your trailing slash issue could help out. Do you have trailing slash redirects in place for all of your pages? Were they put in at a particular time, where you might be able to look at data from just after that date? If the trailing slashes are in place correctly and always have been, and it's just some weird artifact of GA that is causing these pages to show up with 0 visits, can you ignore those pages that don't have the trailing slash and focus just on the metrics for those with the trailing slash?

  • I have thse recomendations: 1. Specify your Doctype to help Google see what your content type is. For mobile Google supports XHTML Basic, XHTML Mobile Profile, XHTML, WML, cHTML (iMode), and EZweb (KDDI). We run HTML 5, CSS 3 and jQuery successfully but these are not specified by google, so i would recommend to be safe and go with what Google supports. 2. Add a specialized XML Sitemap for Mobile. It is basically the same as the usual Sitemap apart from adding these to elements: xmlns:mobile="http://www.google.com/schemas/sitemap-mobile/1.0 and mobile:mobileRead more here: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=34648</mobile:mobile> P.S. Name it mobilesitemap.xml. 3. Use WURFL to redirect PC users finding mobi content in the www index back to the PC version. That should help.

  • In that case, begin with option B and hide all the tabs. In essence, you will then have option A. Then as EGOL suggested, you can show an additional tab every week and measure differences.

  • Sean is right. Earning the #1 spot on Google is the first step. You need to constantly focus SEO in order to keep your position. The SEO algorithms are constantly being adjusted and these changes may have a positive or negative on your site, and the sites of your competitors. You also need to understand that everyone else on the first page would like to take the #1 spot from you, and they hire SEO specialists with the specific instructions "do what is needed to get the #1 spot". You have opportunities for improvement on your current page. Focus on your SEO and you can get the #1 spot back: Your current title for the "used-cars" page with is in the #2 spot is: "Used Cars for sale in Pakistan, Find Used Suzuki, Toyota, Honda and more | Pakwheels". A lot of that can be moved to your description. I would recommend either "Used Cars | Pakwheels" or "Used Cars for sale in Pakistan | Pakwheels". Too many words in your title dilutes the importance of your key words. In your footer you of your "used cars" page you offer a link to another "used cars" page. It is actually the same page but the URL is different and you have not added the canonical tag to your pages. Unless you have went in to Google WMT and specifically set up your parameter settings Google may not handle this well. You should be very consistent with your links and anchor text. You use the H1 tag 3 times on the page. By design, the H1 tag is meant to be used once per page. The other tags should be H2 or something different. There are other opportunities but these are just a few that stood out for me. Good luck.
