Thanks Egol, great reply. You're absolutely right, we need to A/B test this however since it changes quite a bit of the website structure I'd like to go with the most likely option first.

Best website structure for product benefits and features.
I'm in disagreement with my partner over how best to represent our products' benefits and features on the homepage of our website. I'm interested in this from primarily a SEO perspective but it obviously has an impact on conversions as well.
I believe that a homepage shouldn't contain too much information so as not to overwhelm the user, a brief sentence or two about each benefit with a link to another page with in depth info about the related feature. Each of these inner pages would be optimized and contain much more content that you could put on the homepage example below. Each Please see wireframe A
He believes in more information on the homepage. There is more content to index which he believes is important for the homepage. Also, by using tabs most of the content is hidden from initial view so its doesn't clutter the page and the user doesn't have to leave the page to decide whether he is interested in the software. Please see wireframe B below.
I'd really love to hear from other Moz'ers which they would choose and why?

RE: SE Nuke, is it any good?
I think what it boils down to is this - Using tools such as SEnukeX really can provide some short terms results. However, and here is the problem - Just because Google is crediting these backlinks now doesn't mean that they will in 6 months time - once their algorithms can detect these types of links reliably they will devalue these links overnight. All the time you put into creating them will be wasted and you will be in a position where your competitors who have been taking the slow long road will suddenly be ahead of you. Google is on a mission to rid its search engine of spam and they employ the brightest minds in the industry - You need to demonstrate that you are an authority and a trusted site. Right now the best way to do that is to get links from other highly trusted authority sights. Spend you time wisely, just like most of life the tortoise wins the SEO race.

Ranking for competitor brand terms
My client sells security software online. Our keyword research shows massive traffic for competitor brands relative to the non-branded terms and my guess is that this traffic converts well. I'd like to figure out a way to get some of that traffic for my client without crossing any ethical boundaries. The only thing I can think of is having a comparison page with good onsite optimization. Does anyone else have any tips on how to rank for these terms?

RE: Best link building activities to increase velocity.
Thanks Dejan SEO. Actually I've had reasonable success offering giveaways of my product to bloggers. I assume you mean creating a competition on my site and trying to attract inbound links? Would you mind providing a little more details about the strategy that you have been successful with?

Best link building activities to increase velocity.
I'm running my own web based company selling security software. I'm a one man band and do the programming, web design, SEO etc. all myself. I've taken a very white hat approach so far and spend all my time writing guest posts and getting them published on tech blogs (I get 3-5 links per week doing this). The only tool I use is Buzzstream and I've been doing this for about 6 months now.
I'm starting to see a few results but whenever I look at my competitors I see they have links from thousands of root domains. I feel like I need to increase my link building velocity with a new activity which will yield a much greater number of links than I am able to create using my guest posting strategy. I'm not keen to start spamming article directories or any other short term activity. I dedicate about 8 hours per week to SEO and I could afford to spend around $700 per month if necessary. Any help would be much appreciated.
