All the time you put into creating them will be wasted and you will be in a position where your competitors who have been taking the slow long road will suddenly be ahead of you. Google is on a mission to rid its search engine of spam and they employ the brightest minds in the industry - You need to demonstrate that you are an authority and a trusted site. Right now the best way to do that is to get links from other highly trusted authority sights. Spend you time wisely, just like most of life the tortoise wins the SEO race.
