This sounds like a case for the help desk. Email them at help@seomoz.org with details of your problem. Also include a link to this Q&A thread and mention that one other person has gotten the error occasionally, so the help desk can follow up with Per Allerup if they need any additional information. Is brad callen right
I wish I could offer more then 1 thumbs up to Alan's reply. The internet is full of misleading SEO information. To anyone just starting out in SEO I suggest focusing on SEOmoz as your primary source of SEO information initially. Include Matt Cutt's blog and videos as well. This will shield you from most of the endless swamp of bad SEO advice. There are other great sites out there. Alan shares his wisdom at http://searchmarketingwisdom.com/ and I would sincerely recommend adding that site to your list of "trusted" sources of SEO information. Keep in mind this plan is not fool proof. Even experts make mistakes, and many great sites are open to anyone sharing their thoughts. I apologize if this seems like a rant it's just the original question ruffles my feathers. When I began to learn SEO I proceeded upon the "expert" advice I found and later had to unlearn my SEO "facts". I hope others do not have to travel down that road.

About Google Spider
I think some of the confusion may be due to Google's primarily using IP addresses assigned to their headquarters in Mountain View, California. Google has many (around 20) data centers located outside the US. I recall reading an article whereby at times they used their Mountain View IPs from centers around the world. For security reasons they do not wish the location of all their data centers to be known. I researched this topic before and I was unable to locate any official information from Google. It would only seem reasonable they crawl from all over the world. If they didn't, then a lot of sites which use geo-based targeting for site navigation would not have most of their content indexed. While it's true a sitemap could be used to overcome the issue, many sites do not use sitemaps and they still get indexed.

Severe rank drop due to overwritten robots.txt
Your present approach is correct. Ensure all these pages are tagged as noindex for now. Remove the block from robots.txt and let Google and Bing crawl these pages. I would suggest waiting until you are confident all the pages were removed from Google's index, then check Yahoo and Bing. If you decide that robots.txt is the best decision for your company, then you can replace the disallows after confirming your site is no longer affected by these pages. I would also suggest that, going forward, you ensure any new pages on your site that you do not wish to index always include the appropriate meta tag. If this issue happens again then you will have a layer of protection in place.

Does shared content affect rankings?
Is this "(name of person) shared this" content showing on first page of results because they're in my social graph. Or would this content have been on 1st page regardless of whether it had been shared? The latest statement I heard from Google was the +1 data is being collect but is NOT being used to alter search results. They also made it clear that this data could be used in the future for that purpose. Why is google identifying who is sharing content when they're not in my social graph? There is a process from Google called Authorship where any content created by a known author can be identified with their picture. For example, do a search for Matt Cutts in Google and you will find the results which are authored by him recently from his blog show his picture. It is possible for him to author content elsewhere and it may or may not be identified with his picture depending on whether the publishing site used the proper tags. I believe the pictures you are seeing are from Author identification, not from the Google +1 process. This is the current Google standard now.

How to choose Keywords
Keyword research is the most important part of any SEO campaign, as it represents your foundation. All subsequnt work is going to be based on your initial keyword research. Get it wrong, and you may found yourself spending many wasted hours on keywords which are simply not worth it. If you are new to SEO, my advice would be to get some help with your keyword research, or at least get a second opinion. The Google keyword tool is going to be one of the most important long-term tools you will use, and it will help you to effectively choose and find keywords. However, you must consider how strong the competition is for any keyword to give yourself the best chance. Best of luck.

Too many links on a page - pull-down menus
You can make links unreadable using certain techniques, but hiding those links will probably do you more harm than good. I would re-consider what you list. Maybe everything does not need to be listed from the main nav on every page? I know it seems useful letting everyone get to where they want to go from one click, but it is not always 100% needed and can sometimes actually scare people off! On your site, take 'Workers Compensation' under 'Practice Areas' - you don't have to list all the different types of workers compensation there, it could be that this information is displayed once getting to the 'Workers Compensation' page - in fact, I see it is already. This is obviously a business decision you need to make, but something to think about.

Does font size affect SEO?
The short answer: in the context of your question, font size has no effect on SEO. You can offer a page in any font-size ranging from 10 - 14 and it would not make any difference. As the others suggested, your site's readability will impact the user experience. As long as your site is properly coded, browsers have the ability to change font-size to larger/smaller. It would be a nice feature to offer users a widget to allow them to change font-size to their preference. The font-size may affect factors such as click-through rate, time on site and so forth. It does not directly affect SEO but could indirectly affect it through the user experience.

Article rewrite tools: do they really do the job to meet google's requirements?
The topics have been extensively covered on the net. Gathering some content from the internet and rewriting the content would make sense. This is what a research analyst would do in a brick and mortar world to write articles.
