SEO Ranking & Brand Names
My experience with competing for my own brand name against myself.... Bulwarkpest.com was the established authority and brand for Bulwark Exterminating and Bulwark Pest Control. Time had come for a major site overhaul. We revamped the site and decided to go with the longer domain, bulwarkpestcontrol.com. No matter how hard I tried I could not dethrone bulwarkpest.com. Traffic on bulwarkpestcontrol.com was 10x that of bulwarkpest.com. More links, better SEO, more pages, I even threw PPC into the mix. The only way I was able to beat my own domain was to 301 bulwarkpest.com to bulwarkpestcontrol.com. I took it back out of the 301 out of curiosity, but the new ranking domain, www.bulwarkpestcontrol.com, stayed on top. Once you have achieved that glorious position of "brand" or authority for a search, it is near impossible to dethrone it. Even if you were to beat the algorithm, if your site ever got a human evaluation, which google does do on a regular bases, you would be dethroned because searchers want to find the brand website when searching for a brand.

InSite Linking Best Practices
You can target multiple keywords, but the words need to fit the same purpose and be relevant. You don't want to throw in keywords just so you can rank for them. Check out this post by Rand. It should clear some things up for you: http://www.seomoz.org/blog/keyword-targeting-how-to-employ-multiple-keywords-for-seo-conversions Let me know if you still have questions.

Contact Form System Question
Check out the companies in the CRM and Email Marketing panes as a start... http://www.layeredi.com/sites/grange.drupalgardens.com/files/marketing_technology_landscape.jpg I know MailChimp and Safesforce have JS widgets. I like Campaign Monitor myself. I bet many of the others do too. If you are moving from Tomcat, might be a good time to evaluate a CMS too.

What can I offer a blog, in order for me to guest blog on their site?
First, take a look at the blog that you are looking to be a guest writer for. You should look for their style and of course, look at what they are writing about. Once you have done this, go ahead and create content that is relevant to what they write about; if it is a fashion blog, write about the latest trends and add images (again, look at what they have and copy the same style; you can give them something that copies their style and another option that is more your style). Email them and send them your work. If there is a number to call, I would call them first and then email them. Hope this helps!

Rankings dropped in Yahoo
Hi Bush, Not as far as I'm aware (I did a quick search for this, looking at posts from the last month or so). If you're curious (and nobody else chimes in here with more information) I would suggest you analyse ranking changes for your clients against their main competitors. If you see those changes reflected across the board for Yahoo UK rankings, then it's probably a good sign there have been some changes to the algorithm. Hope that helps! Carlo

Link Building Strategy - Which landing page should I use?
After putting myself in the user's shoes, I would imagine that I would want to go to the Distrubutor Specific landing page. That's what I figured but I'm in the process of trying to get some quality links to my core domain and I am struggling. These are solid links but oh well...i'll just send them to the new landing page. Thanks!

Pages On Subfolder Not Ranking
Sorry I meant to say crawled daily or at least every few days as the content on those pages are updated regularly. The folder in question is /coupons which isn't included in the robots.txt that I know of unless I made some type of mistake and cause it to be not indexed. The page is being crawled but for some reason isn't ranking and for awhile wasn't even showing up when I typed my domain name plus the keywords into Google. There are numerous page that used to rank but now they don't but the page that was probably most drastic was this one.Thanks.
