Java scripts creating 404
Hi there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. Thanks for writing in and sorry about the trouble! Unfortunately, our crawler doesn't do a great job of parsing Javascript. If your site is primarily Javascript, then the data you get back with regards to the site crawl report won't be completely accurate because of this. There's no real workaround that I can recommend for this one, since it is a technical limitation of our tools, but I did find some good blog posts and discussions in the Q&A about this when I searched our Help Hub. While the tools and data that rely on our crawl of your site may not return the best results because of that Javascript, your keyword rankings and link profile should work just fine. You might also want to check out a few tools that are compatible with Javascript, like Botify or Screaming Frog. I'm really sorry I can't be of more help here; I'll definitely be sure to pass this along to our Product team as feedback on your behalf. Please let me know if there's anything else I can help with, and if there are any follow-up questions you might have, just give us a shout at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to help!

Does no-indexed page has an impact on bounce rate
Hi there. There are a number of ways in which this is a bad idea - as others have pointed out. But in particular: What you are doing may manipulate the "bounce rate" you see in analytics, but won't affect the % of users who return immediately to the search results after landing on your page - which we know is one of the ways Google evaluates the quality of their own search results Going via an interstitial page is on its own not great UX, but having a delay on that page just makes it more likely that a user will give up and leave immediately - and also have a greater chance of remembering your site as being a poor UX and be less likely to return At an overarching level, there's nothing wrong with having external links off a page. This is normal and expected on any site. I would say you should put all your efforts that are currently going into manipulating this behaviour and these metrics into improving the user experience of your site to make it better for the people who do find it. I hope that helps.

Tracking AMP / Organic search in Google Analytics
Hi there, Just to confirm, you did implement AMP Analytics with these pages, correct? Are you measuring both AMP and non-AMP traffic in the same property? If so, this should show up as referral traffic (look for the source 'cdn.ampproject.org'). I recommend reviewing these resources below to make sure you are properly tracking and attributing AMP traffic, hope these help! - What's Your AMP Traffic Really Doing? Set Up Reporting in 10 Minutes "Due to various technical restrictions, AMP traffic uses different Client IDs from those for web traffic by default. AMP pages also load faster and show different traffic patterns thus resulting in different metrics. Using a separate property to measure AMP traffic allows for better analysis of metrics and a more accurate picture of your traffic. If you use a single property to measure both AMP and non-AMP traffic, use the data source dimension or a custom dimension to distinguish them. By default, Google Analytics will send the value "AMP" within the data source dimension, which is the value you can use to segment/filter or otherwise analyze AMP vs non-AMP content within a single View. To configure a custom dimension, see Extending googleanalytics. In addition, you can use the AMP Client ID integration to use a single Client ID for a user across AMP and non-AMP traffic." How do elements that are displayed when scrolled impact SEO?
I did a little more research on the issue queue for Wowjs and found that it is indeed impacting site's SEO. See https://github.com/matthieua/WOW/issues/196 here. Wowjs sets the element to be visibility: hidden inline and the crawler cannot see the element as evident from using Fetch as Google from Webmaster Tools. We will have to find an alternative to Wowjs so that the solution we come up with does not set the visibility: hidden property but still applies the animation.

Www and non www site
Hello, I would just concentrate on the "Non" www site as it is the one that has the content. If you are redirecting traffic from the other site it will be ok, but don't post any additional links to the "WWW" site though. Also like you said it would be a good idea to go back and correct the links if there are not too many of them. You don't lose much from the redirect, but the "Dampening" factor of PageRank does deduct a small portion of the links value. In reality, if the "WWW" site is not being used and has no content just make sure it permanently redirects to your main site and forget about it. Put all your effort into your main site. Build lots of high-quality content and promote it. It takes a little time for the links to start showing up in MOZ, but when they do it can start building fast. Then your "DA" score will start going up. You may like this article regarding "Organic Quality Scores" and I hope it helps you. Best Regards

IO Error - what does this mean?
Hi, it is hard to tell because I do not know the URL of the site so cant look at anything really. It appears to be a security certificate error and may have to do with an SSL Handshake Exception. I would ask the developer to make sure that the Certificate and everything on the site is set correctly to use the certificate. Here is a link to a Stackoverflow.com article on that error message. If you go a Google search for that error it can be caused by many different things I hope this helps. Best Regards

SEO & IFrame problem
Hi, That is a confusing problem, but it seems like most of the page content is coming from the Iframe and not the page itself. If you can I would use "No Follow" and "NoIndex" tags on the Iframe and see if that helps. If possible I would build out the content on the correct page as much as possible without affecting its usability too much. Also, you can try "rel canonical" to the correct page and hopefully that will help.

One company, two audiences. Ok to make two sites?
Hey Gabe, Great topic, and those competitors with EMDs outranking one are seriously aggravating. You've done a really good job of brainstorming the pros and cons. Pretty much 100% of the time, I advocate for a single site approach. The potential for brand building, authority building, ease of management and protection from the ever-changing whims of Google's filters make this the smart choice. Some things to ask the client, which I'm going to pretend is called R&B Realty: Won't it be easier for you to build awareness of R&B serving all realty needs, than to expect consumers to somehow remember that they should go to rbfarmrealestate.com or rbhomesforsale.com? Don't you just want them to think of RBrealty.com for all of their needs? Is there anything about the present domain that is ruling out building awesome farm-related content? For example is the domain something like homesforsalechicago.com right now? If so, could it be that you do need to purchase a new domain, but that it needs to be a branded domain that can encompass all present and future services? Imagine if in future R&B wants to expand to commercial real estate or luxury real estate. Would they then need 4 domains? That's a rabbit hole you don't want to go down. Are you ready to invest? Provided that the current domain isn't making it somehow impossible to believe one could buy farm real estate from the company, I would present the company with a plan for creating the best possible section on the website for farm real estate. I would consistently publish best-in-class articles on this topic until I'd convinced Google that farm real estate is part-and-parcel of my brand, just as much as residential real estate is. I would be sure this content was highlighted from the homepage onward, and was built with good UX and good CTAs in mind. I'd invest a great deal in this, and make my pages rank highly for core terms. I'd also consider offsite marketing initiatives (both online and off) that would begin to build awareness of my brand's association with farm properties. I see far more opportunities than limits with this approach, and with the right plan, you should have no problem creating a sterling strategy for the client. Hope these thoughts are helpful!

SEO Migration Options
Hello cerednicenko, You should implement what's best for your audience and visitors. As you are saying it it's fine, there no need to implement the internationalization in just one gTLD and subfolder, there is other way: using ccTLD for each country. Always using hreflang tags to tell Google that are alternate pages. Here a few resources to help you more: Hreflang generator - Aleyda Solis International SEO - Moz Learning Center The Guide to International Website Expansion: Hreflang, ccTLDs, & More! - Moz Blog The International SEO Checklist - Moz Blog Best Luck! Duplicate content across domains?
Hi Roxanne There's two general ways you go can: 1. Will the pages be exactly the same or very similar (like 95% or more)? If so, and you want to be 100% sure Google ranks the right one and consolidates their signals, you can use a Canonical tag. Point it from the page you don't want to rank to the page you do want to rank. 2. If the pages are different - different content, menus, functionality (can you purchase on one but not the other?) etc... then don't use a canonical - but do everything you can to a) make them different, b) make it clear to users the products exist in both places, c) cross-link them if you can, d) try consistently promote one over the other. I also _highly _recommend you check out this great new post on duplicate content by Alexis - it's one of the best I've seen!
