Should I get an SSL if my non-SSL site is ranking well?
Google Chrome shows "not secure" today forms don't matter If you look at the example website it does not have a certificate or is it using HTTPS Because lawyers websites are considered "money or life" sites they hold more weight with Google & the public. meaning they need to be secure and trustworthy. Hopefully, he is already updated his site if not make sure he does. https://www.aleydasolis.com/en/search-engine-optimization/http-https-migration-checklist-google-docs/ Respectfully, Thomas xhTcuxV.png

Changing Domains - 301 old https to new https
Hi Cloudflare does not need to be added two times (or to each domain) to work or it would only be used on the old domain for an Automattic 301 redirect to the new site/ domain so I would only use it once to make sure I get the set of 301s for the old domain. Does that make sense? (The "yournewdomain.com" does not need to run on Cloudflare only the "yourolddomain.com" domain) You will then want to see how this is used in the following pattern: https://yourolddomain.com/* Select “Forwarding URL” and “301 – Permanent Redirect” for the settings, and input the following rule: https://newyourdomain.com/$1 The /$1 enables the wildcard part to function. Then click on “Save and Deploy.” [image: 301-redirect-wildcard-cloudflare-1.png] cite: https://woorkup.com/free-url-forwarding/ Let me know if I can be of any help, Thomas Zickell zhs0fMk.png

Anyone decipher the Yelp Sort ?
Hi Wizkids964! I just want to say I'm sorry that your thread didn't receive replies from the community. I haven't seen any good, formal data to either verify or challenge your analysis, and I expect others in our community are in the same boat. What I have seen is videos like this one which hypothesize how to move the needle in Yelp: https://localu.org/blog/guest-video-top-10-yelp-tips-small-business-2016/ But they aren't broken down into percentages like you've done here. It would be nice to see more studies like this, and again, my apologies that no one here had data to help prove or disprove your hypothesis.

Can MOZ keyword explorer output sentences instead keywords?
Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. Unfortunately, no, Keyword Explorer can't output entire sentences instead of keywords. You can use it to check for keyword metrics or to see what keywords a site already ranks for, but there's no way to use the tool to optimize for sentences. You may be thinking of our Page Optimization tool, but we don't have anything that is specific to the Knowledge Graph (OG) element. Sorry about that! If you still have questions or if there's anything that needs clarifying, feel free to drop us a line at help@moz.com and we'll do our best to answer all your questions.

My client redesigned their site. Once it went live, ALL of their rankings disappeared. Even branding. Help?
Try using this extension, it's quite handy for highlighting issues. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/link-redirect-trace/nnpljppamoaalgkieeciijbcccohlpoh Also, are you getting any issues highlighted in Search Console?

Can I use Schema zip code markup that includes multiple zip codes but no actual address?
I would disagree. Schema is a proven ranking factor. Try adding schema on any website that does not have it, and notice how rankings improve even if everything else is kept the same. If the company does not have a physical address, I would recommend using Service schema (https://schema.org/Service) and including your target locations in areaServed.

URL with query string being indexed over it's parent page?
If the Disallowed URLs are linked to externally, or internally from a page that isn't Disallowed, they'll appear in the index with the snippet text you've quoted. If you want to ... Typically, that page will already be populated with parameters the crawler has discovered, though you can specify them manually too.

301 redirect syntax for htaccess
There is no difference between "Redirect 301", "Redirect permanent" and "RedirectPermanent". It is clear from mod Alias documentation: "This directive makes the client know that the Redirect is permanent (status 301). Exactly equivalent to Redirect permanent." "permanent - Returns a permanent redirect status (301) indicating that the resource has moved permanently." But, these directives are really confusing, because they are not page to page, but directory to directory. For example: Redirect 301 /a-very-old-post/ http://yoursite.com/a-very-new-post/ Surprisingly, it will redirect all old subpages to new subpages. In particular it will redirect /a-very-old-post/page1 to /a-very-new-post/page1 Therefore better to use RedirectMatch or RewriteCond+RewriteRule for page by page redirections and for redirections with query strings. Company Name in Home Page Title? If and Where?
So EGOL just gave the best possible response to this I can think of, and I think option #4 is what your default should be, however, you also want to maximize your meta title (which is using about 60-70 characters before trailing it off). So if your post has a short title, it doesn't usually hurt to throw your company name in there to take up more of the title tag real estate. If you are trying to optimize a service page for a local company, it can make sense to exclude the business name as it will give you more room to include your target keyword or further describe your service (I like to try to include an LSI of the main page KW if possible). Check out https://moz.com/blog/title-tag-hacks-whiteboard-friday for some solid title tag optimization hacks!

Huge Search Traffic Drop After Switching to HTTPS - No Recovery After Couple of Months
Hi etakgoz, That's a huge drop. I've actually seen a similar drop in traffic before in the past, specifically due to a site redirection issue and also Google Penguin penalties. What caused a mis-diagnosis for me in the past was that our site redirection happened at almost the same time as Google core algorithm changes during the same period. Have you taken a look at the algorithm change timelines to see if it's possibly an external factor that caused the drop in traffic? Other than that, did you have any tracking tools or software similar to Moz that you were using to keep track of site issues or the backlink profile? The decrease in traffic is pretty severe and there could be a multitude of issues possibly causing this. Was there a similar decrease in search rankings along the same period of time as well? Sorry for the questions, but it'll really help if you could provide more details for further diagnosis.

I have number one positions organically, should I run an additional PPC campaign?
Yeah they really suck though. They are mean to patients and do a bad job and overcharge them. So it's a good thing really. I sound evil but my team do really beautiful work for fair fees and make hundreds of people a week smile and feel better about themselves. So every patient I acquire I see as being saved from potential dental disaster at the hands of some incompetent or greedy practitioner. It's a cool culture. I feel sorry for our competition because I don't ever want to see businesses fail. But some of them don't deserve to be in business. Not in 2018.
