The second most important point is the performance of your listing assuming that you have been working in your local listing, how well is your accuracy? how many local mentions do you have? how many local backlinks do you have? What about your map pack, have been working on building social signals to your site Just to give you an example of what I'm talking about, these a link intersect report. These sites are pointing to your competition (this is a quick overview).   • From my research it is best practice not to use the whole: .com/en/ .com/ru/ style of denoting languages, is this correct? Well I, not I agree with that as long as you set up correctly the language, sitemaps, canonicals and so on you should not have any problem I will give you 2 good examples apple.com neilpatel.com If you notice both of them use subfolders for language and region apple.com/mx/ neilpatel.com/mx/ Based on my experience I avoid creating subdomains because basically, prefer to build authority for a single domain rather than build authority for several subdomains. Both strategies have pros and cons and all depend on the size of the project. I mean a big brand can choose subdomain even when is going to manage several link building campaigns for several subdomains (keep in mind that Google will treat every subdomain as a single independent website). In my case I build authority for the main version of my website www.mycorporatewebsite.com --> English version andwhen I need to launch the Spanish version, this is going to rank a little bit easier mainly for DA that I already built In your case, if you selected a subdomain as your option no matter the reason, this can be technical reasons or maybe it was a client requirement (Russian and China). Well, the steps to follow are these ones. create the subdomains migrate the content redirect the old pages (not delete) submit the new sitemaps to GSC I will strongly suggest you make the process as much gradually as you can to not hurt your main website build a map of all of your internal pages divide it into small categories/tags/taxonomies or whatever you want migrate this small pieces gradually I hope this info will help you Regards

If you keep in mind all the budget required to do that, you will realize that is not cheap or a secondary tasks These are some basic numbers Buzzstream payment --> $99 Content Broker or Constant Content  --> 20 to 50 per article (in the best scenario) Infographics or Media Assets  --> 20 to 50 VA for permanently or part-time outreach ----> Depending on the experience can be from 600 to 1500 As you will notice is not cheap or easy and if you want to make it like a pro you really have to start to see it as a project, not as a task.   • Yea that's definitely tricky. I'm assuming you haven't taken out any load balancing that was previously in place between desktop and m. meaning your server is struggling a lot more? The Page Speed Insights tool can be good info but if possible I'd have a look at that user experience index to get an idea of how other users are experiencing the site. A next port of call could be your server logs? Do you have any other subdomains which are performing differently in search console? In terms of getting Google to crawl more, unfortunately at this point my instinct would be to keep trying to optimise the site to make it as crawl-friendly as possible and wait for Google to start crawling more. It does look like the original spike in time spent downloading has subsided a bit but it's still higher than it was. Without doing the maths, given that pages crawled and kilobytes downloaded have dropped, the level of slowdown may have persisted and the drop in that graph could have been caused by Google easing back. I'd keep working on making the site as efficient and consistent as possible and try to get that line tracking lower as an immediate tactic.

  • Hi Shop-Sq, This is a tricky one to answer definitively without knowing the details of the two sites. Having been through a very similar situation, I expect that, unless the content is truly identical, you're existing site shouldn't suffer any losses by having both live and indexed at once. That said, until you properly redirect the old pages to their new counterparts, the new site will probably only see marginal growth. So running them side-by-side, you're not likely to get a good measure of how the new site will perform once you redirect. In my experience, there's no way to handle a site-wide redirect like this "risk-free" with a smooth transition. But you'd have a chance to catch any technical issues that might negatively impact Google's ability to crawl/index the new site's content if you launch it well ahead of March, then set the redirects once you're comfortable (again I'd want to do this well ahead of busy season if possible). This will give Google some time to crawl the redirects, pass PageRank to the new site - and it'll give you and your team some time to work out any kinks. Hope this helps at least somewhat - these are not easy situations to evaluate especially without detailed knowledge of both sites. Best of Luck, Mike

  • Hi Lee, Typically, the best practice is to have a website with a single set of service pages (they can mention your locations in the content) and then have a landing page for each of your physical offices. Presumably there isn't any difference between the services you sell at locations A and B, so a single set of service pages will usually cover all locations' services. It's the locations that are the difference, so they get the unique page treatment. Hope this helps!

  • Howdy Mack_, We get this a lot working with our clients, and unfortunately I'm not aware of a way to force more rapid recrawling of Yelp pages directly. However, we've had success doing the following: Make sure your site links to your Yelp page and resubmit your website via Google Search Console - good chance Google will crawl outside your website to hit that Yelp page. Add unique content to the Yelp profile - just adding some fresh photos and content could make your listing more search-valuable. Campaign for more reviews! Yelp has a crawl budget just like your website, so more valuable content will take priority for both Yelp and Google. Hope that helps! Thanks! Mike
