M. mobile version for a multilanguage site, canonical best practices

Whew. This one is a tough one. A mobile and multilingual site is hard.
First, keep in mind that br is not a language. Portuguese is the main language in Brazil. They have the hreflang right, but the URL can be confusing. It won't hurt anything, but my guess is the client is confused as to what constitutes a language code vs a country code.

Few short answers:
- You should use hreflang on the mobile pages.
- You should use the canonical to desktop version of the mobile page for the targeted language.
