  • Seems like a nice enough graphic to me. Perhaps the target audience is inclined to share socially and not necessary link. That's very normal. 9 linking root domains is decent and there are probably lower quality ones not being displayed by Open Site Explorer. Pinterest would generate links but you usually won't see this flooding the results in Open Site Explorer, probably due to crawl depth of OSE and similar factors - most of the shares just aren't important enough to index.

  • What you are describing is not a shopping cart website; it sounds more like a "classified" website. Maybe the WP plugin below is suitable? I haven't tried it myself by it seems to have all the features that you need. http://wordpress.org/plugins/another-wordpress-classifieds-plugin/

  • DA and PA are modeled somewhat independently, if memory serves, and they aren't scaled against each other (only other metrics of their kind), so it is possible for you to have a DA that's lower than your PA. Typically, that would mean that the majority of your strength is rooted in the home-page, as Martijn said. Unless there's a big discrepancy, it's generally not any cause for alarm.

  • I would suggest keyword research and planning out how you want them to flow. You will also need to look at your permalinks since you are using wordpress as you might prefer to show the category in the URL Easiest path would be to just let the post name be the permalink, excluding categories in the url, then you just move them to their respective categories. Take your time and carefully plan everything out first, you will also need to fix the old URLs to point to the new ones so don't forget that.

  • You can actually look this up in Google Display Planner.  Log into your Adwords account and go to Tools and Analysis > Display Planner.  Select the topic for World Localities>San Antonio under the Individual targeting ideas tab.  "Texas > San Antonio" should show up in the box in the upper right.  Now, select The Placements subtab, and Sites.  this will give you a list of sites Google thinks is relevant to this topic.  The top ten are <a class="sMDB" title="sanantonio.com">sanantonio.com, </a><a class="sMDB" title="kens5.com (MojoPages.com, Multiple locations)">kens5.com, </a><a class="sMDB" title="beaumontenterprise.com">beaumontenterprise.com, </a><a class="sMDB" title="thesanantonioriverwalk.com">thesanantonioriverwalk.com, </a><a class="sMDB" title="tubetexas.com">tubetexas.com, </a><a class="sMDB" title="mywesttexas.com">mywesttexas.com, </a><a class="sMDB" title="riverwalkguide.com">riverwalkguide.com, </a><a class="sMDB" title="hillcountrycurrent.com">hillcountrycurrent.com, </a><a class="sMDB" title="zacktravel.com">zacktravel.com, </a><a class="sMDB" title="corsicanadailysun.com">corsicanadailysun.com.</a> Of all Google's targeting options, I've had the least success with Topics.  I'd recommend picking sites from the list that appears, and target them directly via Placements, or pages within those sites if they're not all about San Antonio.  Topic targeting is specific to every page, so if you use it, your ads won't appear across all the domains above, but only on pages deemed by Google to be relevant to this topic.  I just think it doesn't work that well yet.  I've used it with success with other targeting options like interest categories.  For example, you could pick an interest category for Travel, and then combine it with this topic to hit travelers reading about San Antonio.  Pretty cool, right? Also, be aware that the default location settings for Adwords will show ads to people around the world looking for San Antonio, as opposed to people specifically located in San Antonio.  If that's important to you, make sure to expand the Advanced location settings in the campaign settings, and correct that.

  • Thanks. I appreciate the help with this. Yeah we are more concerned with user experience rather than passing link authority. The concern was just that implementing that many redirects could potentially hurt the main site from a Google perspective but I definitely appreciate the input. Makes my decision a bit easier.

  • You could create a DIV for each location and assign it the itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/PostalAddress" Inside add SPAN with the itemprop for each property. For the title use this: Bar Name instead of adding additional spans

  • My pleasure! Exactly - as Keri explained, they try to crawl the most valuable links. By linking to the correct pinterest page, you will signal to MOZ (and google) that your Pinterest profile is worth crawling/indexing, and it will gain more page authority as well.

  • @[Vadim Mialik I](http://moz.com/users/view/145337) think your "familiarization with the platform" is the answer. I know how to optimize - just not in Wordpress or other blog tech. RE:"what you mean by serious SEO" I presently rebuild pages to spec, in asp, rather than try to un-corrupt old code. I rename pictures, rename page filenames, edit the existing copy, etc. IOW, I build the pages around the SEO target. As I write the code, I make sure everything "fits" together. I have been getting excellent results this way. If I start retrofitting Wordpress sites, I won't have that kind of access to customize. I don't agree that Wordpress is inherently search friendly, but can imagine that demand has forced them to come up with workarounds. I think Vadim has the right approach -  learn the mechanics of what can be manipulated in Wordpress - then learn what I need to make up for what I can't do - my way. I will definitely take a closer look at the Yoast plug-in.....Thanks for all replies

  • Hi Timothy, Thanks for reaching out! There's unfortunately no way to merge accounts at the moment. This is a feature that's been requested though and one we're still looking into. If this is something that you'd really like to see added to Moz, I'd recommend submitting this as feedback in our Feature Request Forum. If you see an entry in there for this, you can vote it up the queue. Our Product team checks this daily and uses it to help prioritize our new feature releases. Sorry I can't be of more help here but let us know if you have any other questions. Have a great day! Best, Sam Moz Helpster

  • Hi! If you've added the campaign in Moz Analytics, it won't be available in the PRO version of things. That's just the way things are set up right now. Sorry for any confusion.
