That's the gist of it, unfortunately.  Cyrus posted in this blog entry a Tweet from Duane Forrester of Bing saying over time, they learn that 302 redirects encountered repeatedly are more permanent and begin to treat them like 301 redirects.  I would imagine Google does something similar because it makes sense to do, and would improve search results overall, but I have no evidence to back that up.

Google came out earlier this year and said that they would change some meta titles and improve them as they see fit. This post from Yoast.com, might help you out: http://yoast.com/google-page-title/

Thanks for all the helpful advice. We are using Vimeo Plus set to 'private' as a way to keep our costs down. We did look at Wistia and really liked their hosting service and functionality, but it's just too expensive right now.

I do know there are other community members from Canada. I know PRWEB is nofollow now. If you're using some of the free resources for PR, some of these are still dofollow. The problem is that some of these PR sites link systems don't allow you to use the nofollow tag (no HTML manipulation). So, it's probably best to just disavow these. I would love to dive deeper into a discussion about how Google is treating the nofollow tag now... it appears from my research that much more citation and trust is being passed now? Anyway.. different topic : ).

Hi there, Bing also does and Yandex too. Unfortunately I can't confirm this with Baidu though and haven't seen any online documentation. I'll let you know if I'm able to confirm! I hope this helps!

Hey, It's a little difficult to understand your question. To clarify, are you asking why there is no link from your navigation menu to the high5store.com/c/BollywoodSarees page?

My initial reaction was that this is more likely technical than something Google is doing - checking the load-time is a good idea. Make sure the sitemap validates and there's nothing odd about it. If you manually re-submit it, does it seem to take?

I think Andy is on the right track, with the caveat that Google needs a little help in the general meaning department. So, one easy way to do that is use Moz's on-page grader for whatever term you've selected... that best describes the page and is hopefully not too difficult and has a little traffic.Just to make sure Google has enough clues as to what this page is about. Over time, you will find that the page hopefully gives you traffic for all kinds of related terms... not just the one you graded against.  Like everyone else, I have pages with top terms that supposedly are good for no estimated traffic, yet dozens of terms contribute hundreds or thousands of visits because they're all in the same general neighborhood. Plurals and what not don't change the general meaning which you have helped Google fully perceive without getting spammy.

Hi Kerry, Masoko has a good point.  If the URLs of the page change each time, there will be a different affect than if it's the same URL or you use the canonical tag on them.  So, an example would be helpful. That said, assuming the URL stays the same, then the question is whether the content is just changing order or different content/products are being displayed. If the same products are displayed, but in a different order, then you may see some minor fluctuations in rankings because the content is shifting around, but it shouldn't be much.  This could affect both the rankings of the category page and the products displayed on the category page.  However, since there really isn't any such thing as static rankings, you may not even notice. If different products are being displayed every time, then you may see some larger fluctuations, especially if you don't have much other content on the page other than the products.  Again, you may see changes in the rankings both of the category pages and the product pages. Thanks Lewis, I get nervous indexing pages with very little content, some of these pages. Some of these "Snippets" have maybe a paragraph of text and 5 corresponding lines of code. Oddly enough, some of these snippets have gotten me organic WordPress leads. Just want some peace of mind Thanks

My site experienced a 60-70% drop in google organic traffic too, late on Friday 11th October/early Saturday 12th October, and hasn't recovered at all yet.  Is this when you experienced a drop too?  There doesn't seem to be any online chatter from anyone else experiencing a similar drop.  I had thought I'd managed to avoid any ranking drop following the latest Penguin/Hummingbird, but it looks like a delayed reaction!
