Happy Thanksgiving to all the Canadian SEO and inbound marketing folks here.

It would be interesting to know how many Canucks participate here in QA, so if you're reading this, drop a quick reply to say hi! Also, if you have time - let us know what you find to be the biggest challenge when doing SEO in Canada, compared to other countries.

For me, one of the big challenges is that soooo many tools are geared to the US market and so either don't work for Canadian sites, or give very inaccurate info as they're not collecting enough CDN info. Alexa and Compete are good examples. Not to mention the Local SEO tools like GetListed. (Thank goodness for WhiteSpark's tools - built by Canadians!

I do know there are other community members from Canada. Dana DiTomaso is one (you can see a great mozinar she did about citations at http://moz.com/webinars/you-probably-think-this-citation-source-is-about-you-dont-you). I'm guessing everyone else was busy enjoying dinner instead of being in Q&A. Maybe next month you'll all be busy in Q&A while we're eating?
