Changing the city of operation and trying to know the best way of informing Google
Hi Sukhbir, Currently, the best way I know of reporting that a location has closed is to go to this page: https://support.google.com/places/ Click the red 'Contact Us' button. Go through the wizard, choosing the 'my listing has incorrect information' and then the 'this business no longer exists' options. Link to the URL of the Google+ Local page for the closed location, and in the additional notes section, explained that this branch of the business has closed, though the others remain open. My understanding is that this does not completely delete the location from Google's system - there is currently no way to do so - but will prevent it from appearing for your service related terms. It may still appear for people searching specifically for that location, but will have a label on it stating that the business is closed. Not a perfect solution, but the best I know of that Google currently offers. Beyond this, I would recommend that you manually remove as many third party citations of the business on other directories such as YP.com, Yelp, CitySearch, etc., so that you are getting rid of as much data as possible that supports the existence of the business. Your website should be edited to remove absolutely all references to the closed location. Not sure about redirecting pages. My main goal would simply be to get rid of any references to the closed location. Hope this helps!

What is the SEO Effect of Removing Old 301 Redirects from Domain A.com -> B.com on B.com?
I don't think so. A long time ago in first days of the internet websites were no more widley used than other protocols such as ftp or telnet. a domain may have sub domains such as ftp.example.com, telnet.example.com or www.example.com. but example.com itself would not be used, since then websites are the main protocole used and people started to make example.com respond to websites. so really we don't need www anymore but best to redirect it just in case

No problem. Most of what I learned came from bad decisions or (rather less painfully) from other people on here. Happy to share! Good luck! Ruben

Getting Connections to Follow LinkedIn Company Page
Richard and Vadim have some great points. I'd also look into an email marketing campaign to highlight some notes about LinkedIn and profile what and how your company uses LinkedIn to engage with Groups, updates, industry news, etc. Hope this was helpful to compliment the other ideas. Patrick

No-follow for article directory?
OK, so I think my last paragraph might be the best option. Let me explain. Is the content also hosted on a master site that you own. Or is it only available on the sites you distribute it to? i.e is there a main source? If yes, I would re-write the content taking small snippets of text from the original article and write a few paragraphs, this way you can reduce the amount of work you need to do. Then I would link to that main source but using a nofollow link. So essentially you have all your sites with some unique content that references the master piece of content in some way and links to it for further reading if need be. If you no index the content then those sites will never have a chance of ranking for those key phrases. If there is no original source of that content hosted on a master site somewhere then re-write the content or noindex it. All those sites hosting the exact same content is not good for any of them.

Why does this keyword have much greater volume in Bing Keyword Research Tool than Google AdWords Keyword Planner?
Update: I checked exact match search volume on Bing using the past 30 days and on Google AdWords keyword planner using average monthly searches. For "advertising sales", Google gives me 480 and Bing gives me 11,224. Can someone offer ideas of why the issue is continuing?

Analytics loading to slow
Hey VWNatalie, I am really sorry that you are running into this issue. Unfortunately, I don't have an easy way to troubleshoot this in chat, so I would recommend sending us a screencast of the issue to help@moz.com. That way we can have our engineers investigate the issue further. It would also be great if you can include your computer and OS type along with the versions on the browsers you are using so we can test the issue in the same environment. I look forward to hearing from you there soon. Chiaryn

Question for Moz developers - Highcharts?
Hello! Thanks for your patience, I had to chat with folks on our Design and Engineering Team before answering your question. Moz chose to use Highcharts for a few reasons. Here are some of the advantages we found: (in no particular order) Robust library (variety of charts, stability/bugs, etc.) Up-to-date design, our team loved the look and feel Good support/documentation Relatively inexpensive to implement and maintain Compatible with multiple browsers Familiarity, our Design and Engineering teams worked with Highcharts in the legacy product Overall, Highcharts solved for Engineering and Design requirements. I hope this is helpful! Let us know if you have any other questions. Cheers, Jackie

For keyword relevance, how important is proximity to beginning of the line and/or page?
Thanks, Peter. That's pretty much what we were thinking: we always err on the side of the reader, and it seemed in a short 4-5 word H1 tag there would be little difference in relevance when the keyword comprises 50% of the H1. Really appreciate your quick reply.
