  • Cool. It's advisable to add canonical HTTP headers to the PDFs too, if you can.

  • My last site (10 months old) i paid for links, had outsourced cheap quality back links. Do you think starting over is an option ? A new site (with content and everything from my old site) and doing manual high quality seo myself ?  or will Google spam my new one as well ?

  • Hi Chad, I'm glad your question was answered! Would you kindly mark the most helpful responses you received in this thread as "good answers"? To answer your last question, bylines contain the name of the author of a story, and sometimes the date published and category. For example, in this post on The Moz Blog, Are You Setting up Wordpress for SEO Success, the byline is "May 7th, 2012 - Posted by Dan Shure to On-Page / Site Optimization". Bylines are most appropriate for blog posts, news article, editorials, and feature stories. Bylines should not go on press releases, product/service pages, nor sales pages. I peeked at your site, and didn't see any content piece that looked like it should have a byline. If you add a blog to your site with Wordpress, bylines will be enabled by default. Hope this helps, and best of luck! Christy

  • Would it offer any benefit to your customers? If so then I'd say do it but if you are just doing it to try and pass link juice then I'd say avoid it.

  • Hi Noah, i would agree with all the above, and suggest that so long as there is enough content for each different element of the roofing service you provide, it would be a good idea to give them their own page. Just to further clarify Alex's point of categorisation. If you create a hub page that discusses roofing, you can create sub-pages for each element to it. To use an example: Www.example.com/roofing www.example.com/roofing/felt www.example.com/roofing/re-tiling www.example.com/roofing/anothercategory Using this structure, the /roofing page would act as a hub page to all of the content by containing an introduction to all of the sub-pages, becoming your landing page. The only other advice I would offer would depend on whether your business offers anything other than roofing services. If roofing is your sole area of operation then your homepage should act as the hub as described above as follows: Roofing.com roofing.com/felt Roofing.com/re-tiling roofing.com/another category The architecture section in the following article explains the idea of a hub page really well: http://moz.com/blog/how-to-rank Hope this helps, and best of luck! -Oli

  • Everything Jeff has there is the best way to combine the domains. You definitely don't want to mask and end up with duplicate content across .info, .org, .net, etc... Just send them to .com and use canonical tags

  • Hi Chenzo, We noticed some real big increases across about 15 of our target keyword phrases a day or two after the recent algo updated (granted denied by Google). These updates for us we think are due to this update as we've been expecting the rank changes for a long time but much of our efforts could not budge our SERPs positions. Even though all our indicators were showing that we were not where we were supposed to be in relation to our competitors. I would add that these rank changes have affected our US positions, or UK positions (where we are located) have stayed relatively the same. In reference to Oren's comments for we always expect to see a drop in traffic around the 16th of the December and that I can see is staying true to the nature of our business. The positions I would add are centred around maybe a cluster of pages that have high PA, they are the ones where I've seen jumps in numbers of +9 as an average, with one in particular on a +20 (now first page) where previously it has stayed roughly on page 2 and 3 (Google SERPs) for most of this year. One has gone from 12 to 2 overnight and is still there today. Best, David

  • I think the point of main concern, would be to avoid using the NAP on the landing pages, so as not to cause convolution with the primary domain. Maybe embed the physician's NAP in an image on the landing page...

  • Did you ask yourself why Tweetadder removed the tool? spinning content/tweets or whatever you "SPIN" to create content (like tweets) by having a template is a BAD BAD idea. I'd suggest you spend some time writing each and every single tweet. You can still automate some of them, for example those that are sent when you publish a blog post (but still those aren't spun). Stay away of any tool that offers you to spin the text and create different variations, they are really bad choice, not only SEOwise, but customerwise too. I bet your twitter audience can actually pick up on those spunned tweets if them actually read them often. Hope that helps!
