Duplicate Content on our own website
Do you know software to check texts for plagiarism? Copyscape or plagscan e.g.? Take "some off that content" from the original source on your site, check this using plagiarism software and take a look at the result... If it indicates, that these parts exist already than it`s DC... The software shows you similarities in percent... if it`s too high then the chances are very good that Google will regard it as DC as well.

There is Question and Answer on Turkey?
Yahoo answers appears to use country subdomains e.g. uk.answers.yahoo.com for UK and fr.answers.yahoo.com for France. They don't have a tr.answers.yahoo.com so guess that it doesn't exist.

Sub-pages have no pa
Unfortunately, there's no quick fix for reversing canonicals. If Google is indexing the pages, it's probably fine - I'd double check them with a "site:" operator and see if they're showing up correct (titles, snippets, ranking for exact-match terms, etc.). In some cases, I recommend adding self-referencing rel-canonicals (to counteract the old ones) and it never hurts to have a good XML sitemap in place in GWT. Again, though, you said you're getting indexed, so it may be nothing. If you want to Private Message me or contact support, we can try to sort out why we're still not crawling the other pages.

Rich Snippet Not Appearing? Why?
Hi Martijn, I would say it would be about two weeks ago since I fixed up all the errors that appeared on the tool. I'm aware that they are scaling it down. It's a shame if so because I rank ahead of my direct competitors and they have the markup when appearing below me on the SERPS. I just wanted to make sure that it looks ok in the tool. Nothing appears in the preview pane.

Ecommerce Traffic increase - moving from 500 to 1000 words/category
Ill just give a practical response based from my own ecom projects Category optimisation DOES wonders for impressions and SEO. You've seen it work. In my case, increasing the content length DID help get more impressions but not conversions (directly) If it helps people to make choices for products, go for it. If you are just increasing the length just for the sake of SEO, that's where you will need to make a judgement call. Consider your traffic data and conversion funnels that you have right now and make the decision based on that. Hell, if I was asked this personally, Id just say go for it, test it and see what happens, but like Doug mentioned, it might make you lose money if you are already converting well and that's the last thing we want to happen

A 2014 perspective on using Awards/Badges for backlinks?
The prevailing view, in my opinion, is that no one should do anything for the sole purpose of getting links. Google is increasingly getting smarter and seeing through tactics such as widgets and awards banners. First, review Google's rules on link schemes. Second, see that Google recommends that webmasters add rel=nofollow attributes to links within widgets that other websites use. (I'd also include award graphics and banners.) Third, see this Moz post on "Widgetbait Gone Wild." What I would say is that you should give awards first to reward other quality websites and promote awareness of your website. Don't do it directly to get links. Make the links within the badgets nofollow. If you promote and PR your contest and awards in the right way, you'll get a lot of referral traffic from the links along with possible mentions of you by other websites and bloggers who will give you (dofollow!) links naturally by themselves when they write about you. This is earning links the right way -- not building them. It is more difficult and takes more time -- but it's much more worthwhile in the end. Don't do some BS awards to get links. Make it a real, noteworthy award that is worthy of getting coverage by others. Be newsworthy -- see a Moz post of mine on using PR to earn links. Good luck!

How to create this image effect for my home page
Hi Bob, This effect is done using a background image. The image being used is this one: http://www.3dcart.com/images/5/main-panorama3.jpg It has a width of 2500 and height of 444. This ensures that it takes up the whole screen on devices less than 2500px wide (which is most of them). The image has feathering on the left and right - which allows it to fade to the same as the black background on devices largest than 2500px. The site specifies the image, width and background colour in their CSS file: .panel0 { height: 444px; background: #18100d url(../images/5/main-panorama3.jpg) no-repeat center top; } and to display the background image - they use HTML similar to this: [SOME STUFF] I hope that helps.

Open Site Explorer does not show my website backlinks
it is not just about links from social media that OSE fails to show, there is whole a lot of links from elsewhere, and it has got nothing to do with a "no follow" link from social media as you can get to select which back links you want to see in OSE

Fresh Web Explorer explorer doesnt seem to work properly
Hi Hardley, I'd recommend using the search operators that Moz has built into Fresh Web Explorer (see attached). Adding quotation marks around your brand name will likely narrow down the results. Hope this helps! Tim YVIg0ob

Key word changes
Hi Hardley, Yes, you can! In Moz Analytics, go to Search > Keyword Rankings in the sidebar. Once that report loads, go to the Ranking tab (see attached). This will bring up a list of all your keywords. Click on one of your keywords and it will take you a report that shows the historical rankings for that keyword over the last several weeks. Real Estate MLS listings - Does Google Consider duplicate content?
thank you, Moosa. Let me give you an example: http://www.honoluluhi5.com/waikiki-real-estate-condos-for-sale/ - on that page "Waikiki Condos for Sale" I have created a landing page which seems popular with users. I do not want to add content to the page just to keep search engines happy. As you will notice, there are 30+ pages for this "Waikiki condos for sale" page. It is not directly duplicate content, as my site shows different layout and wording that other sites, but it does not change the fact that the listings are identical. I have corrected added the rel=next prev tags and maybe that is enough. However, I wonder, should I "no index, follow" page 2, 3, 4 of the series, with the reasoning I will have less duplicate content? Or, will such no indexing lead search engines to think my "Waikiki condos for sale" page has that much less content than competitors and therefore struggle to rank? On a bigger scale, not focused specifically on this "Waikiki condos for sale" page, will the "no index" part help the rest of my site perform better, as the ratio of original vs copied content will improve?
