I agree that keyword rankings just aren't all that important in the scheme of things.  However - if that is what they care about at least that part of your job will be very easy.  They will rank - of this there is no doubt. You are more than welcome for the suggestions - I hope it works out for you (and your client). Cheers

It's actually a pretty sweet framework, easy to use and their child themes are great. I dropped Thesis back then because of Genesis. Don't worry about hooks, just use basic hooks for now (they have a plugin) until you learn in time, they also have great tutorials. Best thing about a widely used framework is that most plugins are compatible plus a lot of people write tutorials about how they fixed up their own sites. Security wise, I haven't had trouble with it. As long as your server is tight and the plugins are properly configured, you shouldn't be worried too much.

Ok thank you. I am using a cache plugin, yet I would like to add more stuff. For an example when I add social buttons, its another request and adds time. Thanks for the help. Now if I have speed of I can work on more content Thank you for everyone nice help

Ah, that makes sense. In that case, best practice is to make landing pages specific to your AdWords campaigns. I know that seems like a lot more work than just adding a modal pop up, but hopefully you can get your developer to make you a template and then you can easily make a number of very similar pages with different messaging. That extra expense to make a landing page will be worthwhile, since there's no chance that Google will have a problem with it, so your ads won't get disapproved, and visitors generally expect a landing page tailored to their ad anyway. Looking at OSE, I disagree there there are no spammy links.  Did you see all of those EDU comment links?

Hi Renait, We found out that our guys forgot to install analytics on the Mobil pages so the only way traffic would count is if people visited the few pages that we didn't convert to mobile.  We fixed that and everything went back to normal over time.  We dropped a little in rankings early but bounced back with time.  Hope that helps.

It all depends on how and why the 404's are there and if they are linked to. I have worked with a client who killed about 35,000 pages over the course of about a month (to get rid of duplication) and it only had positive effects. -Andy

Awesome, any thoughts on what I can check or do to see if there are any other potential issues with Google.  I'm a bit concerned that there is a penalty on this site. -jack

Hi Brant- Since it looks like they really didn't "copy" the site as much as mirror it (all the content is coming from your site directly), maybe you can ask your host to look into blocking their ip somehow from accessing the content. Ken
