Importance of having a tightly themed sight and domain for ranking and SEO
Billy and Dan are spot on. Not only is it feasible to have a new section on the site, you are doing what Google loves and introducing new informative content, growing your site and raising its overall value/authority. Google will have absolutely no issue with tightly relating any kind of surfing/board activity. Only consider if the new content is way off track - cake decoration classes or something. I would just ensure the structure of your site is such that you have something like - www.islesurfboards. com/paddle-boards/ rather than www.islesurfboards. com/blah/blah/paddle-boards/ Another way of looking at this - if you have a successful site then where better to test the market, rather than investing time and money in a new site.

Connect to Facebook pages
Hi! Thanks for the question! When you connect your Facebook account to Moz Analytics, we only have access to the page that you designate. We don't have access to your profile, or any other pages you don't specify. So, when you grant Moz access, you'll pick the page to connect, and we don't have access beyond that. Hope that helps! Jen

Help creating a 301 redirect in my htaccess file
Hi Thompson, Thanks for your input, so I'm planning on eventually do the 301 for everyone. I'm re-designing a big website and not everything is done, but I want users that are looking for the content that I already completed to land in the new site. (because the new site has a much higher conversion rate). In other hand I have 30% of my traffic in my old site coming from direct visitors, I dont want those visitors to be send to other URL because it would be confusing. however I want people coming from google to go my new site... Do you think I should sacrifice usability, so I don't risk Google to think I'm trying to do some kind of black hat, strategy.

Cloaking for better user experience and deeper indexing - grey or black?
I wish I could accurately place this on a scale for you. In my opinion I would consider this to be white hat. You have no intent of manipulating search results here - this is completely a usability issue and this is the obvious fix. Yes, I certainly would yes, I certainly would

Email report settings
Sorry about the inconvenience. Unfortunately, not all customers have started using Moz Analytics yet, and it's sometimes hard to tell on our end if customers have completely migrated from PRO to Moz Analytics. So for now both are still sending emails. Eventually, we'll be completely sunsetting PRO.

Mixing 'rel canonical' and 'rel alternate'
I know they no longer recommend it (for simplification reasons, I believe) but our system automatically adds the canonical tags to pages (we manually add alternate tags for translated pages) and we have not seen any backlash from having the canonical tags in place. That isn't to say we may not change how our system handles these tags in the future but for now I simply think that Google is saying you can take it or leave it on translated pages. It may be overkill but it isn't hurting anything.

Domain Authority going up while ranking positions down. Something is missing...
HI! There are a number of things I want to address in your situation, so please bear with me. First, I can't see the site, so I can't verify the content on your site as 100% unique, relevant, and design with the user experience in mind. You need more than just reviews and images to have a great page, so if that isn't already the case, that is the first place to start. For any user search, ask what the best page is and beat that in terms of content. If you aren't sure how to be better than the best, find users that are looking for that via surveys and ask them. Second, I am assuming a number of things. It sounds like your site just launched late 2013. This is based on your timeline and relatively low DA. If that is true and your timeline is accurate, you should be going through some major fluctuations. Your site is new, which means Google is actively testing it's content. Your rankings will change heavily in the first few months. You then noticed a number of onpage issues, and those were just changed as of last week. It's going to take some time for that information to be updated. Third, based on the above and what I've seen in the past, it's very normal for your rankings to fluctuate. If you're checking by a rank checker tool, it'll fluctuate as none of them are accurate right now. If you're checking yourself, then the same IP is looking it up repeatedly, acting like a rank checker. Normal users can see ranking fluctuations per day based on the tons of factors that go into ranking. I would highly suggest not tracking ranking, but rather watching the organic search traffic going to the page you are targeting here. That's the only way to show real success. Fourth, tracking domain authority over time is not valid. Domain Authority change numbers based on the Moz data set. You could "lose" domain authority in one time period and still get more traffic. DA is only to be used in comparison to other sites related to you. In the end, be patient, focus on your content and track organic traffic to important URLs to see how things are performing.

What's the best approach to campaigns?
Most people organize their Moz Analytics campaigns around one website or web property. Each campaign can only look at and crawl data from one website and then you add the associate social media accounts (if you have those) to that campaign. Unfortunately, right now, we don't have the flexibility to group campaigns together if you say you had 4 campaigns with 2 sites about dogs and 2 sites about cats, you couldn't pull combined metrics about how your cat sites were doing as a grouping. If you do have needs that are outside the flexibility of our campaigns, we'd love to hear from you about what you're looking for and how you're trying to use our software in our feature request forum. Hope this helps! -- Erica McGillivray, Social Community Manager at Moz

Not Indexing Text in Tabs
Hi Bruno, It looks like duplicate content is the issue, not the tabs: Google picked up the text from this particular tab five days ago, but from http://www.imoney.ph/credit-card, not from the .sg domain you mention here: http://i.imgur.com/mdmrPy2.png Google will try to filter out duplications of content so as to keep its index as tidy as possible. You have a canonical tag on the page on the .ph domain, referencing itself. You also have a canonical tag on the .sg domain's page on credit cards, referencing itself, but Google has filtered out the .sg content because it is a duplicate. Look at geo-targeting these domains using the rel=alternative tag (https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/189077?hl=en), which should help Google understand that one version of the content is meant for Singapore searchers and the other is meant for the Philippines. A Moz guide on this tag is available here: http://moz.com/blog/using-the-correct-hreflang-tag-a-new-generator-tool Thanks, Jane
