  • As with the previous comments, I would of suggested sticking with Kawasaki.com as it is already a world reknowned brand. However I can see that kawasakirobotics.com is already a live entity. If you are going to stick with the two domain names, make sure that you point a couple of links back from the brand name to pass a little authority. Then maybe work on getting the robotics brand out there with a bit of a link building campaign to other releveant robotic and manufacturing based websites. Hope this helps a little.

  • Personally, I would stay away from Cloudflare (dont hate me LOL) W3 Cache is good. I love WP Rocket though. MaxCDN (find a coupon for a discount) Then any host that you can find that passes your standard. This one is subjective. People think mediatemple is really fast, I've experienced both sides of the coin. Inmotion, heck even hostgator is good. The only advice i could give is to try and test them. Rackspace has been great for me if you like a cloud host but I find digital ocean to be acceptable for me as well as Im not going for ultra fast.

  • I'm afraid you would have to create a new campaign (you can just archive that wrong one) this is because Moz crawls that URL so if you were to change the URL the previous crawl would be wrong. it would get very confusing have more than one website in a report so its easier to just create a new report. Hope that helps.

  • Hi, If you have manually set up your geo redirect in your htaccess then you could modify your rules to redirect only if not Moz’s crawler (rogerbot) like this: uk redirect RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !=rogerbot RewriteCond %{ENV:GEOIP_COUNTRY_CODE} ^GB$ RewriteRule ^(.*)$ http://uk.abcd.com$1 [L] Which means both conditions must be satisfied before the redirect happens, the user agent must not be rogerbot, and then it checks the country code. You may have to adjust it a bit depending on your setup but it’s just the same as adding an exception based on IP, so if you could already do that you can set up a user agent condition just as easily. If you’re using PHP you could use $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] wrap your geoip function with something like: if($_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] != 'rogerbot' ){ You will have to check if it is not empty before you implement it (or work it into your code) as some servers have $_SERVER['HTTP_USER_AGENT'] as not set. Thanks, hope that gives you a few ideas to try! Tom

  • That is the best approach, 301 the old to the new. The length of time that it will take Google is dependent on a number of factors, and if the site is new, it can take a while.  Take a look at the crawl frequency in Webmaster tools to get an idea of how often Google is visiting your site. As to when to get rid of the old page - Google might not be your only source of traffic, so keep an eye on the 301s in your web server logs, and you can delete the old one once it isn't hit any more. Or you could leave it.  Ideally you would be using a CMS so that you don't need to spend a lot of time managing all this.  Most CMSs will let you just rename a page and add a 301 link to it, so there is only ever a single page.

  • That makes sense. The address that the previous agency submitted was his home address. He has a small commercial business address in a neighbor city, but the majority of his business comes from around his home address. He told me his thinking was that by submitting his home address, his website would be more likely to show for potential customers due to google map proximity, which makes sense to me.

  • 1. The bonus of a subdomain is its still sort of linked to your site and can be easier to treat separate (organize) but the con is it doesn't really help boost your main domain 2. having it on your main domain e.g. /docs can help boost your main site (if people link to PDFs etc.) but can obviously increase site size (and sometimes load speeds) and can get a bit messy with orgnaising. End of the day it comes down to your preference and whats easier for the user there are pros & cons for both personally I tend to lean toward having it on your main domain just to increase its authority and value to users (and thus Google). Good luck.

  • LOL. Sounds like an opportunity for an upsell to me I'd look for some variants where the home page does rank 1 and say "well, here's something we managed to arrange for you....."

  • Well, Google say you are, and this is what it's used for The snippet from that page explains exactly what you are trying to do. https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/189077?hl=en No, you want to self canonicalise as well - remember, each page will be seen as unique in Google's eyes. -Andy

  • Hi Andy, Its just one guest blog in a week, so i am not going with high volume. Anchor text is also just brand name. So there is no intention to improve the rank of a specific keyword with guest blogging.

  • Hi Cyrus, Thanks for taking the time to answer. It seems that there is no firm answer on this one - interesting to see you felt there wasn't necessarily an issue of duplicated content but that grouping these pages into themes with a hub page would be of benefit (assuming I've understood your suggestions). The issue is that in some ways the pages and content is similar, so the trips are focused on the beaches and wildlife of Kenya - a lot of the difference is in the accommodation and level of luxury, which is dealt with in the on page copy. I think we will have to revisit how we handle page titles. We only fairly recently changed those pages to ensure that all content in the individual tabs is visible to search engines (previously they were only able to crawl the content in the overview tabs, the content of other tabs was effectively hidden). I have checked this in Google Webmaster Tools and it all displays fine / all the tabbed content is found within the html. Many thanks Kate

  • Hi, With it having been a manual link penalty, I would say that you need to concentrate on some new quality links, rather than op-page items. However, just make sure you don't fall into any dangerous traps - you don't want to risk any more penalties. -Andy

  • Google bot crawls your site, now Google is very powerful so it can crawl lots of sites quickly OSE aka Rogerbot he is not as powerful as Google so it takes him a bit longer to get around and crawl sites he tries his best but can't keep up with google so it takes him a bit longer. So they are both correct, if you want to see all your URLS you can do some of the following safety tips! 1. Always track any links you've created! 2. You don't have to stick to just one! Yes you can combine multiple sites like OSE, Majestic SEO & ahrefs to create a big list of the URLS that are connected to your site. 3 Don't Panic - URLS are not everything that you should be concerned by is you can't see a couple.
