The page you are trying to grade has a pop up with a Yes or No question, that our crawler can't get past. Make sure to use the on page grader tool with pages that do not have pop ups or mandatory questionnaires that show up when you go to the address. We do hope to add the ability to bypass these in the future. Make sure you are tracking the exact url that your competitor is ranking for in Google. If your competitor ranks for www.example.com and you have example.com (non-www) in your settings, we will not be able to display the correct results. Make sure to indicate the version you notice them ranking for in Google, in your campaign settings. I hope this helps!   • Sorry for viewing this just now... but - forgive me if I am wrong due to a bad understanding of the question - but I think Tom answer is not correct. You are telling that your main site is in English, but that has also a Spanish subdomain with just half of it localized in Spanish. If this is the correct interpretation of the origin of your doubts, than, in the Spanish subdomain the hreflang should be implemented so: IN CASE OF SPANISH SUBDOMAIN URL WITH SPANISH CONTENT <loc>http://www.example.com/</loc> IN CASE OF SPANISH SUBDOMAIN URL WITH ENGLISH CONTENT <loc>http://www.example.com/</loc> Why? Because those "en" and "es" mean "English Language" and "Spanish Language", so you cannot declare as Spanish something that Spanish is not. As well you cannot declare both URLs as to shown to English speaking users, because that would create an hiccup to Google, who would not know what of the two it has to finally show to English speaking users. More over, if you don't want to extend the use of the hreflang suggesting also the countries where to show some given URL, then you should canonicalize the spanish.domain.com URL with English content to the original www.domain.com URL. The idea of using also the country code ISO could solve - somehow - this issue, because writing something like this: <loc>http://www.example.com/</loc> Then you will be telling Google to show the spanish.domain.com URL to the people using english in Spain (Google.es), and the English one to all the people speaking English in the rest of world. Be aware, though, that Spanish people using Spanish will see in the www.domain.com URL in their Google.es SERPs, because the x-default is telling Google that all the people not using the language indicated in the hreflang="x-X" annotation (which is English), will have to see the main domain URL, and not the spanish subdomain one. Hreflang is quite a sudoku, but it is extremely logic.

  • Thanks Chris... they have virtually no backlinks but definitely operate within niche and quality is middling - there is some useful content on the site relevant to the niche, but not shedloads of content. Almost all outbound links (and not many of those either... perhaps 200). Finding it a tough one to call...

  • Hello! In campaigns you can only toggle results for the (root) domain & subdomain where on OSE you can see metrics for both and page metrics. Let me know if this helps!

  • I'd suggest having your developer(s) add a redirect to step 1 in the case that no tracking/form information is being passed when going to wwww.exmaple.com/step2. Meaning, if I open wwww.exmaple.com/step2 from Google, information I'd have filled out in step 1 isn't present, so I'd then be redirected to wwww.exmaple.com/step1. If you don't have visitors filling out anything in step 1, you can still have a cookie passed when going to step 2. However, if I've gone through step 1, clicking on a link to step 2 will act normally. That's the best I can think of as an alternative. Keep in mind that this is only a suggested alternative, however. I don't know enough about your funnel, process, or product to say if this would have any impact otherwise. Good luck!

  • Hi, I personally would disavow it, especially if you under some sort of penalty. The site has an ok DA but with 7,000 links pointing to your site it could look unnatural. Kind Regards

  • Thanks Alan, I was told that phone numbers and other details should be marked up with Schema, If you have multiple instances of the phone number on the page - i.e footer, content etc - should all instances be marked up? or just one? If just one, should it be an occurrence in the navigation or footer? Thank you.

  • You're in a good position with the site, because as far as I can see the business is well-liked and referenced. Definitely try and put the dampeners on those comment links and if you can, recommend re-investing budget in a more natural linkbuilding strategy that matches up to the calibre of the business. I appreciate this can be tricky though if it's a third party building those links. I think for the next few months I'd concentrate on improving the content on-site and using digital PR (definitely not press releases, but buzzworthy articles/content that people want to share) to build brand links. Hopefully the comment spam will be outweighed by those, if not a few guys here more experienced with disavows can advise if this is necessary.

  • That depends on how often users come to the site. If 90% of visitors are new the UX issue doesn't exist. If 5% are then you'll soon get feedback as to whether it is driving them nuts or not

  • It's pretty hard to say why a page has been been banned from Facebook without actually hearing back from Facebook. Here are a few common reasons why pages get banned (some which obviously don't apply to your brand): Straight up scams Hate or bigoted content, such as neo-nazi groups Running contests through your FB page, not through the approved FB app Running contests to get "likes" to your page Your FB fans reporting your content as spammy or otherwise irrelevant Copyright violations Promotion of the sale of pharmaceuticals Promotion of online gambling without prior permission from FB
