Relation between domain age and domain authority?
simple as everyone else has stated, there is no relationship. The day a website goes live and can start being indexed, having content added, gaining links etc will start improving the DA, not the day it was purchased. But older website's can also have a lot of bad links pointing to them from previous poor agencies / in-house staff, building bad links so in theory old domains could rank lower by previous black hat techniques to improve rankings.

Only one internal Equity Passing Link
Hello! We do have another bot for our Mozscape Index (Open Site Explorer) which is dotbot We do find ourselves blocked by a hosting provider at least once a week but mostly as a result of miscommunication between marketers working with clients with multiple web developers. One or two of them may not be aware of a crawler being setup to crawl a site and will see it as malicious behavior, thus causing our bot to be blocked. This is mostly seen from larger companies.

Help for a webstore with Google Warnings for Watermark Images and Panda
Oh that certainly is tedious It took us months, one of them took over a year, just to remove panda. All I can say is that you need to be patient and keep up the improvements. There's also a new update so keep an eye on that. You can also setup a separate site or focus on paid/content marketing while you wait for the recovery for the mean time.

Fixing Non-Valid URL - Oops! This does not appear to be a valid URL. Please try again.
Hi Matthew! Thanks for reaching out! I appologize that it's taken us so long to get back to you, things have been a little hectic around here! My name is Erin, and I'm on the Moz Help Team. You're totally right, you'll want to shoot us an email at help@moz.com with the URL you're using so we can dig into this and see if we can figure out why you're running into this "oops" error. Without knowing the URL you're trying to use, it's impossible for me to speculate as to what could be going on. I'll leave this marked as "unanswered" in case you want to keep working with Bryan, and we look forward to your email! Cheers! Erin

Sitelinks in non-brand based organic search results
I've seen this before that they only show extensions to a URL in the first couple of listings. I think it has more to do with how Google wants to show the top results than with the authority they have. Although there probably will be some correlation between the two.

Best Practice - Disavow tool for non-canonical domain, 301 Redirect
Hi, I haven't actually done this myself, but the best way to handle it is after the move and the www-version of the site has been verified in GWT, just check to see if the disavow file exists there. If it doesn't just re-add it. The fact that you are redirecting from a non-www to www, means that your disavow document will still be fine to use, as it applies to the new site too. -Andy

Have you heard of a service called "Autocomplete Engagement?"
No worries and good idea to toss the question of concern out to the Moz community. In the future, if it's anything having to do with Google or any new "up and coming" solution or search criteria change, then check with Google first, then check the Blogs here at Moz or elsewhere because I'm sure content writers would LOVE to be the first to hit on a new idea for how to rank in Google. Hopefully you can put your clients at ease Patrick

Need help technically with dealing with "no results" pages on our internal search engine.
Gotcha - so are you all set for now? FYI, Google will re-crawl 404s in their index even if they are no longer linked to.

Does blocking foreign country IP traffic to site, hurt my SEO / US Google rankings?
Honestly, there could be a very real world impact on your SERPs without you understanding it. I suggest not blocking all traffic from foreign countries. Let's take this scenario as an example: I have an ecommerce website that only sells to the United States. I really only care about the US traffic, since that is where my sales can come from. However, many of my inbound site links seem to be coming from Outside US traffic. This outside US traffic cannot buy from me, in fact, they cannot buy many of the products I sell because they are not available in their country. Even so, when investigating my link profile, I notice that some users are getting the products I sell from somewhere and then blogging about how they love the product. They include a link back to my site since they know I sell the product. Now, it's true that most traffic from that referral source will not convert to paid users. But, the links they provide are helping me in the SERPs, which brings in the qualified traffic that converts to sales. In regards to the bounce rate =: You're not actually decreasing the bounce rate. Instead, you've identified the accurate segment of users to be measuring bounce rate from. In your Google Analytics, you should filter out the foreign traffic so that you're only measuring the correct segment of traffic that is important to you. Now you have the best of both worlds - your reports show the accurate target segment and its metrics, as well as, any benefit that comes from the foreign traffic and link building.

How can you tell if a competitors' FB post was boosted?
No problem! Also, one other factor is that even if you did know that they didn't pay FB to boost, you don't know if there was a third-party service they used to get likes.

Rankings gone, no WMT errors, help!
Hello Roadjan, The site has very low domain authority without many external links. Some of those external links appeared to be paid advertisements, or links on network sites owned by the company, such as the ones in the sidebar of Restful Cottage Holidays with the picture of the moving truck that links to the site. This should be a nofollowed link. Otherwise, the links look fine - you just need more of them, which you might get by promoting your existing content with content amplification Services like Outbrain or on native ad platforms like Facebook. Or you may have to produce featured content that is worth sharing and linking to, such as moving calculators to estimate the size of the van you might need based on the square footage of your home and how much "stuff" is in it (minimal, moderate, cramped...) that needs to be moved to the new location. I'm sure you have all kinds of ideas about content, but the important thing is not to just publish it on your site and let it sit there because nobody is going to find it. You have to create stellar content and then go out and promote it. I don't think you should be disallowing your disclaimer, cookie policy, accessibility and privacy policy pages. Google likes to see these to know you area legitimate business. However, you could block your /thank_you page. Your /get-a-quote/ pages are fairly thin. I would either beef up the content on those pages or block them from being indexed using a robots noindex, follow meta tag on those pages. /moving-to-cyprus-1 Should be a testimonial not a news item or blog post. moving-with-work-to-europe Seems like it's more about external elevator usage than the title of the article. I just don't think someone arriving from search engines after searching for "Moving with work to Europe" is going to be happy with the content they find on that page. I don't see the purpose of this type of content other than to target keywords or fill out the news section. The same goes for many of the other pages in the news section. They aren't "news" so much as either quick blog posts about a job, or information that would work better on one of the other pages, like the "Moving Overseas" section. If Whois info is correct and this site was created in 2007 and updated again in 2012 your issue may have to do mostly with domain authority due to very few high quality backlinks. I would create tools for the the moving industry, and related industries, to use on your site. Also consider partnering with various government organizations, such as the Tourism board for your area, to publish unique information about the area and entice people to move there. This could result in some nice links from the partner and local news if done well. I don't think you have a "penalty". You just need better content and some earned, high-quality links. Good luck! 54389058.jpg

Is there any ranking benefit to buying and redirecting high PageRank domains?
Google says they treat domain-wide redirects like that as 404 errors instead of 301s. How likely they are to do this depends on several factors, I think, such as: Are the two domains topically related? With respect to the domain names With respect to the topic of last known content Are the redirects all going to one landing page (i.e. home) or does each page redirect to a specific landing page? Is the content on the new URL the same content as the old URL? I remember asking about this exact tactic circa 2008 and it was considered "busted" (as in Google knows and it's not worth it) even back then. I wouldn't do it.
