  • Did you ever figure this out? I'm having the same problem, and my Facebook page has been live for a couple years. The  information on the fb page is complete, and it matches the info on everything else. My Facebook page is: https://www.facebook.com/GleamingGlass/

  • Hey there Cory, Moz Local picks up a corresponding GMB listing automatically, provided there are a few specific things in place on that page as listed above - if we still aren't picking up the Google Maps listing, we can definitely investigate further for you. Cancelling your existing listing and repurchasing won't have any effect if, for your current listing, we are already running into trouble finding the listing on Google. Could you pop over a message to help@moz.com so we can take a look into your account for you?

  • Hey there! Tawny from Moz's Help Team here. This is a great question, and one we'd love to assist you with! We'll just need some more details first. So we're not putting any private details on blast, I'd recommend writing in to us at help@moz.com with all the details of your campaign and what you're seeing, and we'll do our best to answer any questions you might have about the data there. Thanks!

  • Depending on the type of business, Facebook makes it easy to manage one company with multiple locations. Learn more here: https://m.facebook.com/business/a/facebook-locations If it's a business that doesn't necessarily need a seoarate page for the additional locations, you can get away with having one page. Hope this helps!

  • Hey Dandelion! We do send a signal to our partners when a listing is cancelled, but that message is effectively just saying "this listing is no longer being managed by Moz". From that point, each aggregator has a different way that they treat that and respond. Most aggregators just metaphorically shrug their shoulders, dissociate our service with the listing in their database and move on, but a couple (namely, Acxiom and Localeze) elect to revert the listing back to its previous form. I can totally see how the result could feel like a malicious action from our side, but I assure you that we're taking the most mild action possible with each of out partners to simply relinquish ownership of that listing. I hope this helps to provide some color to the way those relationships work! Let me know if you have any further questions!

  • Hey there! Without looking at the listing in your account it's hard to tell what exactly might be happening here. If your client is currently managing their listing on Acxiom, Moz Local will not be able to update it on your behalf, which may be why it's not appearing there. Ideally the client would release their listing, allowing us to update it. Feel free to reach out to us at help@moz.com if you want us to take a closer look into the account!

  • "We hope to get the link back up asap." It's more than a year later and the link is still not live. Can you re-enable it please? I'm glad Jen Keller asked the question so I was able to find your link (above), but it would be far better (and save time for your visitors) if you would re-enable it. Thanks!

  • Hi Ilan Bloemhof, By using Moz Local you can push out updates to all online directories with the new phone number. The important thing to remember about using Moz Local is that the information needs to match what it shown on your Google My Business profile, so the first step would be going into Google+ and making sure anything that has changed is updated. Once this is done, it will take about a week or so for Moz to register the changes, but once it does you can start pushing this information out to the online directories. Hope this helps!

  • Thanks for the response Tawny. I did submit a request to Moz support and they say the engineering team is currently looking into it. It has been over two weeks, so I was just trying to see if anyone else had an answer. Hopefully they figure it out soon!

  • Great question! It's generally considered best practice for agencies to have one Foursquare user account (profile) per brand/client that they are managing listings for. Since clients leave agencies all of the time, it is likely easiest to simply create a Foursquare user profile (using a new gmail, for example), then oAuth and claim the locations with it through the app. That way, if a client leaves, you can easily turn over the email account that is managing those listings to the brand. This avoids the hassle of having to go through the steps of reassigning and/or relinquishing management of those Foursquare listings.

  • As of 2013 Localeze is requiring everyone to pay the $297 to add/update their listing. Phil Rozek documented it. I'd recommend reading his post. http://www.localvisibilitysystem.com/2013/04/17/rip-localeze-free-business-listings/

  • Hi Kristina, Its all been sorted now. It looks like there is a bit of a delay with Moz local listings updating or scanning other sites (like facebook) where a listing has been added/updated. thanks

  • Hello there! Sam from Moz's Help Team here! Here is how you can turn off your Moz Local auto-renew in 3 steps: Head to your Moz Local dashboard and click the "Subscriptions" tab on the side nav bar https://moz.com/local/bulk/managed/subscriptions Click on the subscription level your listing is under Check all tabs for additional listings https://screencast.com/t/TryyRQbWFtwe In the Options dropdown to the right of your listing, hit "Disable Auto-renewal" https://screencast.com/t/n7VNCEfb If you decide you'd like your listing to renew again, all you'll need to do is choose "Enable Auto-renewal" from your Options dropdown. Here is a quick video of this process. You can also read more on our Help Hub. I hope this helps but please let me know if there's more I can assist with!
